  2. Plenty of expert predictions floating around about the upcoming season, with most being met with stinging criticisms on Demonland. Maybe time for us to have a swing at these ourselves... Premier: Runner-up: Wooden spoon: Moving up: Set to fall: Brownlow Medal: Coleman Medal: NAB AFL Rising Star: Best new Demon: Demon All Australian: Demon B&F: Big call: Ladder prediction: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.
  3. True. He had Adelaide, Nth Melbourne and and Essendon instead.
  4. I don’t see the point in not playing Scully, Strauss and Maric; they’re the future- get them in there! Tapscott injured?
  5. Great to see Daw get amongst it. I doubt we’ll see him next weekend but could be ready in a few weeks. After a match and a half at VFL level, Gus would have to be a starter against Freo. With Viney out, he’ll get a good run in the middle. Shocked to see Hibberd played! I thought he was amongst the least likely to have recovered and had barely been out of rehab. Again, full VFL match suggests he’ll play round 1. Will be interesting to see what happens with Kossi next weekend. Missed a lot of the preseason and Chandler played quite well in his role. There may be room for both, but I feel it’s one or the other. Hopefully he’s pulled up ok today. I think we’ve found a player in Bowey. No rush to get him on the seniors immediately, but he may be knocking on the door sooner rather than later.
  6. Probably the best way to get him up to match fitness.
  7. The club is not handling the three teams, one club mentality. There is currently a disconnect between club’s leadership and the men’s, women’s and VFL teams.
  8. Tried to find details on the VFL league website yesterday, but found nothing. Should have checked the Casey one I suppose. Very strange it hasn’t been promoted.
  9. Thanks again Picket; amazing work. Any chance of a Round 1 best 22 based on training groups and fitness?
  10. Take this with as big a grain of salt as any other predictions. The AFL Captains predictions are usually as reliable as any others. Every captain predicted us to make the 8 in 2019. 15 tipped Adelaide for the finals. Every captain predicted GWS to make the 8 last year. 4 tipped Richmond to make the Grand Final, zero tipped Geelong. It's a bit of theatre for the empty weekend before Round 1.
  11. Going from a suburban preseason and rushing to to be match fit for round one is a hamstring injury waiting to happen. His comments weren’t out of touch, they were realistic.
  12. Hate it when business panders to the consumer!!!
  13. Who do you take instead?
  14. Not a lot of world beaters there. Who do take..? 2 27 Melbourne Demons Tom Sparrow 2 28 West Coast Eagles Xavier O’Neill 2 29 Collingwood Magpies Will Kelly 2 30 Adelaide Crows Will Hamill 2 31 West Coast Eagles Luke Foley 2 32 Fremantle Dockers Luke Valente 2 33 Melbourne Demons James Jordon 2 34 GWS Giants Kieren Briggs 2 35 West Coast Eagles Bailey Williams 2 36 Brisbane Lions Tom Berry 2 37 Western Bulldogs Laitham Vandermeer 2 38 Essendon Bombers Irving Mosquito 2 39 West Coast Eagles Jarrod Cameron 2 40 Brisbane Lions Tom Joyce 2 41 St Kilda Saints Jack Bytel 2 42 Brisbane Lions Connor McFadyen 2 43 Richmond Tigers Jack Ross 3 44 Sydney Swans Justin McInerney 3 45 Western Bulldogs Ben Cavarra 3 46 North Melbourne Kangaroos Curtis Taylor 3 47 St Kilda Saints Matthew Parker 3 48 Geelong Cats Ben Jarvis 3 49 North Melbourne Kangaroos Bailey Scott 3 50 Geelong Cats Jacob Kennerley
  15. Whilst I didn’t get too carried away after we beat the Tigers, I also won’t get too carried away after losing to the Dogs. The Bullies have the best midfield in the league and they feasted on the ball when we were missing three of our four best on ballers. It was comparing apples and oranges today. Bring on the real thing!
  16. Hahahaha At work and popped onto the game day thread for an update- honestly thought we must be 10 goals down.
  17. Thanks for the updates. How's Brayshaw and Petty looking?
  18. Yeah... nah... you’ve either: a) Never stepped foot inside there. b) Don't get out much. c) All of the above.
  19. You’re probably only ‘guilty’ of making a cubby house that girls didn’t join. If you think that’s a good way to run a football club, business or organisation, then I’d disagree.
  20. Well, this'll be sure to get more women involved!
  21. Stupid choice of a venue and completely idiotic of the club's leadership to accept the invitation. We have enough problems without our leaders making such easily avoided mistakes.
  22. Good luck to Kaine Baldwin but I’m not sure anyone is predicting a KPF, with two knee reconstructions, who was passed in both the National and Rookie Drafts, to be a gun.
  23. When people say 'low' and 'high' when referring to this list, I have no idea what they mean. Is it better to be low or high..?
