The song that describes how I'm feeling - Round 22
- MFC has created generational negative supporters
I think the fact that there are still Melbourne supporters in the world, after the decade we have endured, proves that deep down we are indeed optimists.- Round 22 Non MFC Games
I believe they’ve already requested it and already been denied.- Round 22 Non MFC Games
Yep! Next stop on the ‘MFC Cheer of Shame 2018’ is Nth v Adelaide and the Adelaide oval... Carn the Crows!!- Round 22 Non MFC Games
At what stage does Ross (handed and great list at StKilda but missed a flag x 3, then handed a great list at Fremantle but missed a flag again) Lyon come under scrutiny..?- Round 22 Non MFC Games
It only gets worse- we may need to cheer Essendon next weekend...- Round 22 Non MFC Games
I think I counted three incidents he was responding to. (Maybe a I forgot to paste one). At any rate, if he complained about the umpires every week he’d start to look like a Scott brother. Their whinging has made zero difference to their teams outcomes and people no longer pay attention because it is so regular. People listen when Clarkson makes a complaint because a) he is one of the best and most respected coaches of all time and b) because he does it so sparingly.- Round 22 Non MFC Games
Plenty of examples from a 30 second google search. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/melbourne-demons-coach-simon-goodwin-claims-umpires-are-clogging-the-centre-corridor-20170614-gwqmhj.html http://m.afl.com.au/news/2018-07-22/dees-want-answers-on-staggering-free-kick http://m.melbournefc.com.au/news/2018-07-22/goodwin-staggered-by-ruck-infringement https://amp.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/teams/melbourne/simon-goodwin-questions-max-gawn-free-kick-count-against-st-kilda/news-story/c58b772ab1fc8d2300372d3f93d98e0f http://m.afl.com.au/news/2017-08-13/goodwin-postmatch-r21- Dees who may be gone in 2019

Goddard is a dead weight on Essendon. How he can look so indignant at others when he put in such a weak effort himself is beyond me.- Round 22 Non MFC Games
Yep- start resting players for next week.- Round 22 Non MFC Games
If this is Richmond ‘tanking’, then hand them the cup now.- Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 22

Bit of spice/petrol added to the 'Q-Clash' this year! http://www.afl.com.au/news/2018-08-16/lion-slams-soft-suns-ahead-of-qclash BRISBANE defender Nick Robertson has lit the QClash fuse, labelling Gold Coast "soft" ahead of their match at Metricon Stadium on Saturday night. "I'm looking forward to getting stuck into them on the weekend and so are all the other boys," Robertson said. "I reckon they're soft to be completely honest so I'm looking forward to getting into them. "It's just the rivalry. They reckon they're the team in Queensland and so do we." When pressed further on his comments, Robertson didn't back down. "I think they take a bit of a backward step when blokes go hard at the footy," he said. "I hope they hear that too." Sounds more like the promotion for boxing than AFL. It's very unusual to hear in this competition and brings back memories of 'bruise-free football' a few years back. It could be seen as disrespectful or just some gamesmanship but I can't imagine Chris Fagan being happy with the opposition being handed a little extra motivation...- Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 22

“Goodwin on Hogan: It had nothing to do with training loads. Hoges’ injury was the result of a specific incident during the game.” If memory serves correctly, that’s what happened with Mitch Clark’s first fracture. In a marking contest near quarter time against GWS.- Sports Psychology
I think what a lot of people have commented on after our defeats this year is that we don’t seem to be ‘hurting enough’ and that the players and coaches seem to get over it and move on too quickly. Even this week there have been posters objecting to the positive spin that players have been putting on our loss to Sydney. This is clearly sports psychology at work. The players have obviously been trained, for the public face anyway, to not get down on themselves and stew on the negatives.- Sam Weideman
- Champion Data Must be High
If Essendon turn up to play (Collingwood 2017) then they should beat a depleted Port.- Sam Weideman
