NON-MFC: AFLW FINALS
What a shambolic system

Welcome Back to Demonland Marty Hore
I'm sure he would be happy just to have a contract at this point.

Phantom Drafts 2023
So going by this we would end up with Ryley Sanders and Caleb Windsor.... I'd be pretty happy with that personally. Really I will be happy with one of Sanders, Curtin or Watson at our pick.

Vale Ronald Dale Barassi - Rest in Peace
Ed's only dropped the name of Collingwood 7-8 times..... he's obviously really trying to hold it in.

Trading pick 6
Curious to know why some phantom drafts have Ryler Sanders slipping to pick 9 or 10! Bloke couldn't have done much more, winning the Larke medal and being a key cog in the Sandy flag. If he is available at our pick I would be really surprised if we don't take him, can never have enough midfield guns in my view.

AFLW: Rd 10 vs Brisbane
Just gave away a home Grand Final with a p i $ $ poor performance.... pretty used to that though now as a Dees fan

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
It's quite amazing how much 'filler' time they do with that gettable show. Non-stop talking all year round....

AFL is rigged.
AFL is way more rigged. We don't even have home and away games v every team. Teams never travel to certain locations & instead play them at their home venue (i.e. Collingwood to Geelong). It's beyond a joke.

Welcome to Demonland Kynan Brown
From my understanding we do have the flexibility to take Brown, either with a late pick or a rookie pick depending on what happens on draft night. It would mean we would have one extra on the primary list and one less rookie than last year. Given the amount of cap space we let go this off-season I feel like that is a possibility (believe rookie listed playrs have a certain allocation outside the cap). I feel like we will wait and see what happens and by saying we are only taking 2 picks at the draft, they may hope that puts other teams off making a bid on him and he slides through to the rookie draft.

Phantom Drafts 2023
I would be so surprised if we over-look Curtin if he falls to us. Will trust JT though, he doesn't get too many wrong.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
He genuienly looks like a Steven May clone. Same body size. Long kick. Think he's probably a better kick than May. Whether he can defend like May I don't know.

The Pick 1 Thread
No way North is giving up 2 & 3 for 1 If there was a 4 way trade it could look more like: North give: 3, 15 & 17 / get 1 & future 2nd WCE give: 1 & 23 & future 2nd / get 6, 8 & 11 Melb Give: 6 & 11 / get 3 & 17 Geel give: 8 / get 15 & 23

Phantom Drafts 2023
Sounds like exactly what we need

The Pick 1 Thread
I think they will just be flexible on draft night. Perhaps part of the trade would also see something come back to Melbourne that hasn't been reported, or we can trade a future pick for a pick this year.

Nate Caddy
I'm personally not keen on him at our first pick, but will back JT in as he doesn't make many mistakes. Just think one of Curtin or Sanders would be the smarter option if we keep pick 6.

The 2023 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
I believe he will stay on the Cat B rookie list another year.

The 2023 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Once Gold Coast select all their academy players, plus Hawks and Dogs take their F/S options pick 42 may come into a pick in the mid 30s. You would think that may interest Geelong if they want to be taking multiple players at the draft. They currently have picks 8, 25, 76, 87 & 94.

Plus if Petty was fit we are probably even younger as TMac is out.

The 2023 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
It's funny I hear people mention our players getting on and I think out of the top 4-5 teams this year we had a pretty decent amount under 30. Pies had Pendlebury, Sidebottom, Mitchell, Crisp, Howe, Cox, Hoskin-Elliott & Jamie Elliott all 30+. In our team v Collingwood we had May, Gawn, Tom McDonald & Hibberd.

Harrison Petty
I am in no way panicking if Petty does want to leave in the future, just giving my opinion based on those interviews. He was obviously asked quite pointed questions and he basically said, Oh yeah I probably want to move back to Adelaide at some point. That does not scream of a man desperate to get home to me. So my point was I don't think he was giving it much thought until Adelaide threw money at him.

Dees win $1million McClelland Trophy
Oh right it's Saints... bugger they don't look much chop.

Harrison Petty
All about money. Doubt he was even considering it until $1m was put in front of him.

The 2023 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
JT & Co. won't be picking for any specific need I don't believe, as we don't really have a specific need right at this very moment. They will follow the Keep It Simple Stupid mantra and take best available, based on where they rank players. We also won't be swayed by the 'go home' factor, as we have seen time and time again and rightly so. If you aren't backing in your system and club to hold these players then you may as well just give up now. Not saying all will stay, but if you hold on to the majority then it's still a win.
