I retract my earlier decision to leave out Cross, however I do think we need to drop out one of the tall backs so Frost can play on Jenkins all game and just go in the ruck when he does. That way we can still have the extra mid playing. Possibly VB or Newton out for Michie though I'd imagine Roos may stick with a pretty similar team.

I'm going to go with the following team for round 3: B: Jetta McDonald Frost HB: Salem Dunn Howe C: Lumumba Jones Vince HF: JKH Hogan Viney F: Garlett Dawes Watts R: Jamar Tyson Michie Int: Vandenberg Newton Brayshaw Sub: Kent Outs: Cross, Garland Ins: Michie, JKH - Jamar should ruck 85% and then we can use Frost for the rest and move Watts back while he is rucking - We need more mids so this gets us one extra runner (we will not get close to Adelaide without having a long list of mids) - Crossy has been a great player but I think Michie can do his job better now- He's great for depth though for this season

2013 Draft re-visited - Bound for Glory
DistrACTION Jackson replied to BrisbaneDemon's topic in Melbourne Demons
Jury is still out on Petracca but definitely nailed Brayshaw. He just looks like he relishes the contest, which is more than I can say for a lot of other players in our side. On Salem and Bontempelli, I currently play in a draft league keeper format where you can keep 18 players each season. I am very happy to have both of those boys sitting in my team! -
2013 Draft re-visited - Bound for Glory

Pretty spot on I think. Bontempelli looks like he could be a genuine A-grade gun and I think Salem isn't far behind. Shows that the Salem/Tyson trade is a win overall. -

Suns Knocking on Free Agency Door

I like the look of Gorringe. Played well against us and seems to be down the pecking order having been dropped from the side for this week (even though he was better than Smith). -

I'd get on them under 39.5 add a bit extra to it . -
Any idea what the total membership count is at the moment? Great work by the way!

MFC MEMBERSHIP - SEASON 2015

They are probably waiting to see if it ticks over 35K to make a big announcement to give more exposure in an attempt to hit 40K for the year. -

How do we fit Dawes and Vince in the line up, that's the big question. -
Hate the commentators constantly saying 'frawley must love his new environment'. He's absolute sh*t! Can't kick, poor decision making- he is actually one of the reasons we have been so poor. Very glad he's gone.

Does anyone else wonder how the Hawks get away with man handling players every game? Umps must love them!

If there are no injuries from the game I would be going with the following: B: Jetta Dunn Garland HB: Salem McDonald Howe C: Lumumba Jones Vince HF: Kent Dawes Watts F: Garlett Hogan Frost R: Jamar Tyson Cross Int: Newton Viney VandenBerg S: Kennedy-Harris Ins: Dawes, Vince Out: Toumpas, Brayshaw Vince and Dawes are both too good to leave out when fit so they must both come in. Toumpas will be better for the run at Casey to build some confidence and will hopefully break into the side later in the season. Brayshaw is very unlucky as I thought he was outstanding in his first game but I think with Vince coming in the senior experience will be needed and Brayshaw will also benefit from tearing up Casey with Toumpas. Kennedy-Harris played really well as the sub a few times last year so his speed and skill may be crucial late in the game.

Though Toumpas did have a poor game against the Bombers I'm definitely not gonna write him off. The first two NAB cup games he only played a total of 61% game time and still managed to record 34 touches from the two games plus 9 tackles. These are pretty decent numbers and I'm hoping with a full season he can average somewhere around 22-24 touches a game this season.

What a load of s**t. Barrett is laughable and I find it staggering he gets paid for that dribble.

Further to this, the large clubs get access to better time slots, further increasing their revenue compared to the smaller clubs. It's a vicious cycle, the small clubs need money to try and rise up the ladder and grow their club, but they have less access to revenue's and therefore just fall further behind.

Jack Watts vs Jimmy Toumpas
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Henrietta Lumbago's topic in Melbourne Demons
The good thing is now they have great leaders to help them use that skill to get the best out of themselves. To add players like Cross and Lumumba would help to show the amount of work that is required. I don't think we can underestimate how big their influence may be. -
Our next breakout star is ...

I agree with the Viney comment. Though I can see him cleaning this up ala Jones. Besides, Priddis is one of the worst kicks and he won a brownlow. -
Jack Watts vs Jimmy Toumpas
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Henrietta Lumbago's topic in Melbourne Demons
I really hope he can get a few touches in the remaining pre season games and get some confidence heading into the season proper. I feel he has all the talent now it's up to him to believe he can do it. If anyone can instill that belief it's Roos. -
Guess the next head on the banner.
