If there are no injuries from the game I would be going with the following: B: Jetta Dunn Garland HB: Salem McDonald Howe C: Lumumba Jones Vince HF: Kent Dawes Watts F: Garlett Hogan Frost R: Jamar Tyson Cross Int: Newton Viney VandenBerg S: Kennedy-Harris Ins: Dawes, Vince Out: Toumpas, Brayshaw Vince and Dawes are both too good to leave out when fit so they must both come in. Toumpas will be better for the run at Casey to build some confidence and will hopefully break into the side later in the season. Brayshaw is very unlucky as I thought he was outstanding in his first game but I think with Vince coming in the senior experience will be needed and Brayshaw will also benefit from tearing up Casey with Toumpas. Kennedy-Harris played really well as the sub a few times last year so his speed and skill may be crucial late in the game.

It would be incredible if he could hold up the Cup on the last day in September, no one would be more deserving.

Though Toumpas did have a poor game against the Bombers I'm definitely not gonna write him off. The first two NAB cup games he only played a total of 61% game time and still managed to record 34 touches from the two games plus 9 tackles. These are pretty decent numbers and I'm hoping with a full season he can average somewhere around 22-24 touches a game this season.

What a load of s**t. Barrett is laughable and I find it staggering he gets paid for that dribble.

Further to this, the large clubs get access to better time slots, further increasing their revenue compared to the smaller clubs. It's a vicious cycle, the small clubs need money to try and rise up the ladder and grow their club, but they have less access to revenue's and therefore just fall further behind.

I agree. However, I think they will be 'managed' in regards to game time and load.

The good thing is now they have great leaders to help them use that skill to get the best out of themselves. To add players like Cross and Lumumba would help to show the amount of work that is required. I don't think we can underestimate how big their influence may be.

I agree with the Viney comment. Though I can see him cleaning this up ala Jones. Besides, Priddis is one of the worst kicks and he won a brownlow.

Really hoping for big games from Salem and the Toump today!

I really hope he can get a few touches in the remaining pre season games and get some confidence heading into the season proper. I feel he has all the talent now it's up to him to believe he can do it. If anyone can instill that belief it's Roos.

I wouldn't worry about this too much. If we win a few more games and Kent can see a bright future he will stay. Besides, it is likely we are sniffing around Scott Selwood also, it's just the way it goes.

Stretch could be a DT smokey this year, hasn't put a foot wrong.

Vandenberg seems to have a bit of pace about him so might fill the void.

I am happy with free agency as long as they adjust it. The NFL have got it right with the top teams unable to participate, this needs to be implemented in the AFL ASAP. Top 4 sides should not be able to participate, or they should be limited to picking up players past a certain age e.g. 28. I really hope the AFL grow some balls and make some decisions on this for the good of the game.

Happy for him to fly under the radar and be a late FS pick-up like Billy Stretch.

That would probably be his biggest challenge, changing body shape and losing some kg's

Hard to tell from one training session TDI, but how would you rate the level of training compared to ours?

As much as it is devastating for Christian, we need to get out of this "woe is me" attitude. Every other club has injuries (Johnson at the swans has had 3 knee reco's, Kreuzer is injured again, Morabito etc.). We are not the only club who has injury problems and at the end of the day he is one player on our list. As a club we need to be able to play well no matter what happens.
