I think that is a pretty fair assessment. I do however think we are starting to build a very strong midfield who will be genuine ball winners. They are just slightly too young at the moment to do it every week, though I think by next year our midfield will be seen as one of the stronger ones. We really do need to add more class off the half back line and I think we need another strong key backman. I think our forward line will develop to be fairly strong with Hogan, Garlett, Petracca and Weideman. Again this won't reach its potential for another year or two. Good times ahead though.

That's pretty poor not to have people walking around and out the front asking if people are members? That's one of the oldest tricks in the book! Maybe they need to get some better sales people involved, ultimately that is what you're trying to do- sell the benefits of becoming a member and the value.

He still has TWO years left! It is a total beat up and yes of course they know it will sell some papers because he is going to be one of the best players in the competition. I'm going to go out on a limb and say I am not worried at all and believe he will re-sign some time during pre-season for the 2017 season.

The Jesse Hogan contract media attention is such a massive beat up! The 2016 season hasn't started yet and he is contracted for the 2017 season. Calm down people there is a lot more important things in life to worry about....

I think he will sign the extension before the start of next season after bagging 60 goals this year and the team on the cusp of finals.......

I genuinely believe he could be our best midfielder in a couple of years time. Even better than Brayshaw and Viney (I see Petracca as more a fwd/mid)

I grew up in Perth and moved to Melbourne three years ago. I personally hate going back there (have to see family) as I find the place boring and backwards. I could understand why he would much prefer Melbourne as I believe as an 18-30 year old it is now easily the best place to live in Australia. Sydney lost that mantle with their ridiculous prices and new lock-out laws.

Definitely RDT. I'm not a fan of the Fantasy system with the prices changing straight away, much prefer the 3 game delay to price rises!

100% agree. He should have come out and said they will support the players through this suspension but it is important to keep integrity in the AFL. Instead they came out and threw a tantrum about it. Not the first time they have done that either. This verdict also shows how poor the AFL management are. I just read that there will be a commission on whether Jobe Watson should return his brownlow! Seriously, can they not make one decision without a commission being held? It is pretty straight forward, he was caught CHEATING the year he won therefore he should NOT be illegible!

It's a shame to lose Melksham for a year but I'm fairly certain the club would have known this was a possibility and would've planned for it. I wonder if because of this we can upgrade Mitch White off the rookie list as a replacement? Would be a more than handy replacement and sounds like he is training really well. The other side is that we should be able to pull a top-up player from the other comps which could be handy if we have our eye on a mature age recruit.

That first mark and goal was very impressive. Here's hoping he is over his on-going injury issues and can develop into a gun full forward.

I never understand the contest questions relating to Jack Watts. He is just another cog in the machine. If he is good enough he may play all games next year, if not he won't. WHO REALLY CARES

Think of it this way RTG, he dominated the TAC cup coming off OP and looking slightly overweight. Once he is in AFL physical condition who knows what level he can get to. He has already matched it with men in the VFL which is another plus.

If he can get himself super fit he could be anything. Viney, Brayshaw, Oliver, Tyson, Petracca, Vandenberg will be running rampant in the middle. Those guys will seriously hurt other sides.

Has anyone heard from Olisik? I'm imagining he has passed out from pure elation….. If anyone knows where he is you should call an ambulance.
