Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
He probably would be better. Without knowing him, he looks a real confidence player, I would lock him in against North in a couple of weeks.

SOLUTIONS NEEDED. 2 JUNE 2024. Memo to Goody
Interested to hear from someone with better footy iq- as to what has happened to our defensive zone? We were once a very good side at defending the ground. But last few weeks, sides are opening us up, even on slow plays. The West Coast game I remember the Eagles had a 3 on 1 from a kickin. Have we changed something to get a better turnover, or have sides picked us apart with kick handball and run? To me this is costing us as we just spend too many petrol tickets defending lose opposition. Sorry if this is covered already.

Harrison Petty
Do we call time on the experiment and move him back and TMAC forward? Ideally Petty to play out the year as a backman as we try to build some trade currency for him before he jets off to SA.

SOLUTIONS NEEDED. 2 JUNE 2024. Memo to Goody
I put this 100% on the senior coach. His inability to rotate players through the side, tending to play his favourites injured over fresh legs has driven fringe players to explore options. Goodwin also controls who we bring in and what type of player. He is responsible for where we sit. List managers execute a strategy provided to them by the senior coach and footy manager. If we continue to underperform it will be the senior coach who goes first.

Deep Midfield Issues
Would love to see Taj given a run in the middle and Rivers as a defensive Mid. Viney is in such bad form he was almost standing on Maxys foot at every centre bounce and got torched on the spread. Oliver isnāt working hard enough so should go back to VFL in my eyes. Sparrow is a lost cause. Bowey over time could play midfield, but we need some big bodies in there at the moment. Cupboard is empty

SOLUTIONS NEEDED. 2 JUNE 2024. Memo to Goody
There are some glaring issues of onfield leadership and poor coaching. But one thing that is really obvious to me is that our list profile seems to be a long way off current trend. If you look at Hawthorn, Collingwood and Sydney- they have really dynamic, fast midfield/forwards with excellent skills. And they play such exciting football. I donāt enjoy watching us play this year, even when we are winning. We a have not evolved and have not added to our list. We are playing a style of footy that doesnāt suit us and the style that suits us, doesnāt hold up anymore. Time to bottom out, cut the list deep and regenerate. Max, Trac, Kos, Windsor, JVR and McVee would be the only ones Iād say are not up for trade.

McVee midfield
We still need another really good medium defender like Hibbo. If we can draft or recruit his replacement, then he will be a great midfielder

Would be a great acquisition.

PREGAME: Rd 11 vs St. Kilda
Gee tough selection this week and beyond.. Petty must go back to sure up our defence, but not sure who replaces him. Brown out, likely for good. Might be worth Fullerton playing as Marshall is a good endurance ruck. JVR as permanent forward. Id give Windsor a rest and bring in Langdon. Not too excited with the changes, feels a bit like deckchairs on the Titanic.
