  1. Blake Howes might have played himself out of round 1
  2. Agility is not something we have or draft for
  3. Agility is not something we have or draft for
  4. Billing’s can’t handle pressure. Gameplan is still a mystery, looks slow and uncertain
  5. It’s a fair statement. 3 first rounders in a compromised draft, could be 3,15 and 22 for example. I’d argue Koz is worth more than that.
  6. Kako will be a star. He has great instincts on where the ball will drop and is footy smart. Looks a nice young kid too. Doesn’t get too carried away, seems respectful. Not sure he suits Essendon. A Blue guernsey would suit him more than black
  7. Not sure. I’ve not seen enough of him live in the back half. He certainly has the disposal, but AMW and McVee are defend first, attacking backman. Rivers obviously can, but he appears to be too valuable in the midfield now.
  8. AMW would have played as he is an excellent tackler and good on the very quick crafty small forward. Not sure we have a replacement. Bowey is a poor tackler and Salem too slow. Kynan Brown has pace and DNA, but not been playing in that role. With McVee out and GWS with elite small forwards, it’s a glaring issue.
  9. ACL by the looks. A couple of big F words as he comes off.
  10. You would never get a job at AFL house… you make too much sense.
  11. Laurie and Brown could play the role. Also like the idea of Bowey eventually playing as a small forward.
  12. Clarry looks to have trimmed down over the break and looks AFL fit! Thought the break could have went either way, but looks committed to elite footy.
  13. Instagram showing Casey training on now
  14. What a great read. Well done WJ.
  15. Breakout year for me, would be Adams, Fullerton, Verrell, Howes and Jefferson. All others mentioned have had breakout years, what we need is for some to recapture form and others to improve on prior best years. I would say we only had 2-3 players last year who performed above normal output.
  16. Cam Pederson type. Set to play next year
  17. Is Laura Kane previously from Play School?
  18. Arrived, didn’t like the culture, then left…
  19. Good to see Clarry back and happy. From the photos taken at training, he looks he will need every day of preseason to be hard fit for round 1. Hopefully the drive is still in him.
  20. Would be happy with all those guys in a leadership capacity with JVR
  21. Rookie spots need a major overhaul if Markov gets a rookie spot
  22. Will be mentoring Clarry and healing wounds with Trac among other things. Valuable edition in a time we need leaders!
  23. The AFL love it as do the TV rights holders as it gives the boundary riders something to talk about when it’s not windy and raining sideways... I love when they cross downstairs to the boundary and they say that the sub is warming up, but they have been on the ground 5 minutes and already had 10 touches and a goal!
  24. He has lots of talent and scope for improvement. He lets himself down with his defensive work, especially when the ball is on the ground. Needs to get stronger legs and core and keep his feet. Hoping that he can cement a spot like AMW in the back half.
