May setback + Jetta knee injury (8-10 weeks)
So its the clubs fault that 17 players needed surgery?? Don't disagree on questioning the fitness & conditioning from Mission who FYI is leaving, but I dare say he would have warned the coaches to expect an impact on their readiness for the season.

Its a lottery @ times....hawks gave up a bit & are taking risks with Omera & Scully & who both come to the club with severe injuries.

Questions that need to be answered.
Writing on the wall, after 22 surgeries & interrupted pre season, ask any fitness guru that unless u have a proper preseason you are [censored] for the season! Coach needs to answer as to whats happened to our defence foundations that Roos put in place, even last year we were getting scored against heavily Why did we get rid of Kent, not that he was the difference but we are lacking goal kickers.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Every team has a player who comes last in a time trial.... the question what were his times vs the others & afl benchmark? not denying his fitness was not up to scratch but would be good to all the facts
-
POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
You are correct factually ....my point is many clubs role the dice, with the Hawks both those players have serious injuries which may impact their playing futures. Fact is May admitted himself he was behind the 8 ball, come last in time trials,

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Simple Roos implemented defending & working both ways...Goodwin is attack & down hill skiers
-
POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Hawks have rolled the dice with Scully & Omera...only difference they gave late picks.....Whats concerning is Lever is bad luck buy May coming into a new club & presenting himself in poor shape says a lot about him, not sure how recruiters can miss that
