  1. I think many are missing the point that our midfield is going OK. Now before you have kittens, the problem the midfield are having is they get the ball, look up and there is no one to kick it too. Then they go sideways or back to another player that looks up, no one there then sideways and back until we turn it over. We really need moving viable targets up forward and until that happens we have more pain in store. Byrnes is not the answer nor is Dunn. I think until some forwards become available we need to raid the backline. Frawley or if available Garland forward. Fitzpatrick was so bad he must have been suffering from concussion still, if better I would give him another go, who else?
  2. Were you at the same game as me? Dunn - Contested marks - 0 Clangers - 3 Marks in forward 50 - 0 Tackles - 1 I rate Dunn but as a backman. Edit:- Sorry to jump on you jaseon, I just noticed 1st post, well done, some of us can be a bit grumpy. Normally I would not have a go at an early poster, keep it up. I actually would pick Dunn in my best 10 players against WCE and the Saints.
  3. Correct, Dunn has been good down back. His forward work poor, he came as a forward don't know what happened.
  4. Big statement 1. Pederson would not get a game in any other side in the AFL. BS2 Time to play an under done forward, bring in Dawes or Gawn, even Garland as a forward half done better than Pederson. BS3 Play Jamar out of the square, and I don't rate Jamar anymore but better than Pederson. Saw Robbo at half time, I reckon he would do better than Pedo.
  5. Dunn works well in defence. In the forward line he gave nothing. Frawley defended ok but his attacking flair and disposal were poor. Pederson - I'd swap him for Gysberts and he's been delisted. Byrnes - our worst player kicked the most goals - how bad is that. Midfield OK. WE NEED TALL FORWARDS. Even proppy bring in Dawes & Gawn. Send Roos to Mitch Clark with a message. "Mitch stand in the square and we will bomb it in, you only need to grab a few per game, one leg is plenty, come back please"
  6. Mitch please come back, we need you. Even on one leg we need you. Mitch, even in a wheel chair you would do better than the current lilliputian forward line. Please come back.
  7. All doom and gloom. Look on the bright side. All those pledge per win supporters stand to save a fortune this year. Thanks, I have just ordered a recliner, my guess paid for from pledge savings. I can now lay back in my recliner and cry myself to sleep in absolute comfort.
  8. I watched Dunn in the forward half yesterday. When we had possession he followed the WCE defender around. When they had possession he was 20 metres clear?? He repeated this effort. I seriously doubt that he understands the principles of football, sadly he is not alone. Why won't they kick it to Watts. Saw him on his own and leading over a dozen times and they kicked it to him maybe 3 times. PS. I was calling for Dunn forward at the StK game. Not any more. The bad thing is we have no talls and the talls we have need to be dropped.
  9. Dismayed beyond comprehension. All I can say is 42%
  10. Does it bother any one else that the only time we are likely to see Clark & Dawes is on the ABC on Thursday night?
  11. I think I must have hit a button on my computer that has changed the language. I thought this was Demonland in English. Translation required "skiphop rubbish.Jay-Z, Kanye, Kid Cudi, Kendrick Lamar maybe..". I tried Punjabi..ਕੂੜੇ skiphop. Jay-Z ਦਾ, ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ Kanye, ਕਿੱਡ Cudi, Kendrick Lamar then Swahili..skiphop takataka. Jay-Z, Kanye, Kid Cudi, Kendrick Lamar labda No I give up. Hang on, this is code for Hogan out 4 to 6 Clark 10 to 50 Dawes fark knows?
  12. And mine an attempt at humour. I refereed to my father as "the old man" and it was a term of endearment. I have no time for Dee supporters putting down others, sorry if you were offended.
  13. So do we call you dee from now on? Or do you object to the man reference?
  14. This is serious Mr Rhode Island Red. Surely you would sacrifice a distant relative for a flag. I have twice offered my mother in law for sacrifice, the silly old chook.
  15. I don't think that this year is all that different to previous years. Footy departments spin. I can go back to Barrassi's elbow, Schwatz's knee's, Jackovic's back. They often don't know, if they do they often fib sometimes longer sometimes shorter. Often they mislead about what the injury is, corky not hamstring, calf not achilles etc etc. Then you get the Jimmy Stynes effect when experts say he'll be out for a month with a broken wrist/arm and he makes a miraculous recovery and doesn't miss a match. So just accept the spin as spin and enjoy it when they come back. Go Dees!
  16. No, the bloody thing hangs around all the time and annoys my cat.
  17. I like Watson as a player, but if guilty he should lose the Brownlow. PS. I also liked Hird as a player. Now I would't trust him with the neighbors cat. (I hate that cat)
  18. Sorry, you have got it wrong. It is not the Norm Smith curse. A few years ago I was talking to a bloke from Bonnie Doon and funnily his name is also Norm - seriously. He said he was there in 64, towards the end of the game he said, "I don't care if we never win another flag just give us this one". Maybe he got his wish? I will take a chook to his place on the way to the match on Sunday.
  19. You have Collinwood friends? YD I am concerned about you. I too know Collingwood supporters, but they could never be friends. You need to get out more. Keep away from centrelink offices and the city watchouse.
  20. When we cast aspersions on Hirds playing career remember that Charter was also Shane Woewodins adviser for that one year he was a star. Remember how good he was in 2000. I always said he was a slow wide receiver but for one glorious season he flew, never stopped running, and with pace. Whatever Shane the biochemist Charter was advising it must have been "the good stuff".
