  1. So do we really care what someones wife overheard when their husband was talking on the phone about what someone else said? This is hearsay, in fact double hearsay. Hearsay. "unverified, unofficial information gained or acquired from another and not part of one's direct knowledge"
  2. And that is some form of defence? Andrew told us to fess up. So now we are not guilty right? If AD said anything it was to help EFC, now the Hirds s41t in their faces. They have no scruples the Hirds. Sack him and move on.
  3. He knew, told her to wait until he was out of the country. Plausible deniability. Haven't heard from the Hird have we. He hasn't come out to admonish her or distance himself from her comments. He knows what was said. Thick as thieves those...[censored].
  4. Correction. In earlier posts I referred to EFC CEO talking to James Hird. It was in fact EFC Chairman David Evans. The sentiment remains. Hird must be sacked.
  5. Caroline Wilson "the Age" today. If Hird wanted to fight to clear his name - as was his right - he should have held firm last year. But if he still believes the senior coach of a football club is not responsible for the welfare of his players and if he still cannot see it was his responsibility to stop all those needles and mysterious and potentially dangerous drugs, then he does not deserve to be a part of the AFL. 6. Why would a club with nothing to worry about, talk about a generic call. If you received a call to say the ATO are going to nail anyone selling illegal cashew nuts, would you talk about it? Especially if the person with the warning said , you didn't hear it from me. I reckon AD did say something, but he was trying to help. The Hirds are so self righteous that they think that hurting everyone else will distract from their own wrong doing.
  7. What game are the Hirds playing? Andrew D may have made a call to all clubs or the ones he suspected, along the lines of, If you guys have any dodgy programs now is the time to fess up to ASADA this will give the opportunity of reduced penalties. That the EFC Chairman thought he was getting a direct warning may have been an indication of EFC's guilt. Andrew D has said again this morning that he did not know which club at the time and therefore could not have given a direct warning. I reckon something was said but this is all spin , distracting from the real issue. EFC are cheats, the Hirds are [censored] and the players are victims.
  8. The Hird's. I am staggered at the gall of them. We know JH is a cheat but her with legal training! Hearsay, gossip and spin, Mrs JH says she overheard a phone call between her husband and someone she presumes to be the EFC Chairman talking about someone else, Andrew D. That will stand up in court. I think not. Spin, spin, spin. The Hird's couldn't give a jatz cracker for anyone but themselves. ASADA have already cleared Andrew D of telling EFC to fess up because ASADA had not told Andrew D who the club was. Game set and match. Yet we still hear the bleating from the Hird sooks. Not once have we heard them say how angry they are that the players were subjected to the nightmare program that has engulfed the EFC. The sooner this whole affair is over the better. I look forward to the day that I never hear from JH & the missus again.
  9. AOD9604 was not approved for use, therefore banned. Where is the magic letter? Probably shredded with the Docs letter and all records of who took what. You may well be comfortable with your stance, but I am sure the EFC players are S41t scared, and shaking in their boots.
  10. Welcome, not everyone on here is a moron. Thanks for the info. Get well soon Mitch.
  11. None of our business frankly. It is enough that the club have given him time off to help him. If anyone does know please do not post.
  12. Although I agree we should wish Mitch all the best, there is a lot of referring to what this thread was meant to be about. But take a look the heading. All about Mitch ClarkBased on the title I can understand other things being discussed. Perhaps a rename like "Best wishes to Mitch Clark"
  13. To live on an island? Hope he took his cross with him.
  14. Essendon official, "Freedom, complete pardon" ASADA "I don't think so, take a cross and wait".
  15. And if they haven't suffered? If they knew what they were taking and accepted that an official or officials would take the blame. If the club told them what they had been given then destroyed the records? All these crocodile tears for professional athletes, please. My son's, similar ages to the EFC's younger brigade, check the ingredients on a new can of soft drink. If they don't recognise an ingredient they google it. They are not pro athletes just concerned at what goes into their bodies. Ignorance of the law is no excuse. Well the last time I looked it wasn't. Ignorance or turning a blind eye to whatever some quack wants to inject into you is stupid and that alone deserves some punishment. If they had an advantage, perceived or otherwise or sought advantage through a discredited program, they should throw the book at them. EFC should be financially responsible to all players for the natural term of their careers plus all health costs into the future. A fund should be put aside by the EFC to cover potential future issues, child defects etc. This fund should never have proceeds return to the EFC. But the players must be penalised or in reality the EFC got away with it. The only alternative is to disband the EFC permanently and spread the players around. This would mitigate any ongoing advantage and dissipate the pain. And that my friends will never happen. Put that to the members of the EFC , disband or penalise players, I think the players would be thrown to the sharks.
  16. How do you know he is a witch? Is he made of wood? Does he float? What else floats? Please do not jump to conclusions, he may be a very small rock.
  17. So what he really said was that, it is possible that there is a possibility. Or in English, Not a hope in hell!
  18. There is a definitive scale of evil. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=129175964 Columbia University professor Michael Stone knows evil. He's a forensic psychologist — the type of expert that provides testimony on the mental state of accused murderers when a declaration of insanity can mean the difference between life and death row. Inspired by the structure of Dante's circles of hell, Stone has created his own 22-point "Gradations of Evil" scale, made up of murderers in the 20th century. PS: Essendon are not there.
  19. No matter how far you have gone on the wrong road, turn back. Turkish Proverb A man must be big enough to admit his mistakes, smart enough to profit from them, and strong enough to correct them. John C. Maxwell All men make mistakes, but only wise men learn from their mistakes. Winston Churchill I am prepared to wait are you prepared to think?ManDee.
  20. "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it" Nobody believes that the EFC set out to harm their players. But their actions may inadvertently do much damage. This is very different to your earlier analogy which I again ask you to retract.
  21. The original post............................................... Posted 13 August 2013 - 08:47 PM Latest AFL Tweet:AFL ✔ @AFL The AFL has charged Essendon FC, James Hird, Bruce Reid, Danny Corcoran and Mark Thompson in relation to 2011/12 supplements program Unless I am mistaken the supplements program according to Switkowski.. "abnormal level of activity in the supplements program created:.. a disturbing picture of a pharmacologically experimental environment So I say it is about human experimentation by the EFC
