Very good, still laughing. No, my point was that it is possible that someone who went saw the thread and thought I won't bother. Unlikely but possible. The reality is I am still shitty about our teams performance. I just growled when my phone rang. I need more coffee to calm me down. When I think about it I am talking s41t. Go ahead start as many threads as you like. I am a much nicer person when we win. I just can't remember what that is like.
-
When you start a thread with no information. And look its after 4pm no training info. So I guess I am right and you are ?
-
OK who do you replace him with? Not so easy is it. The medicos said he was ok, but he certainly wasn't. No not happy with his performance but I understand. Based on our extensive list off tall forwards he is the only one so far to get on the ground.

I thought with the use of statistics you could prove just about anything. We have had more possessions than our opponents therefore we should win. That's obviously not true. We are second for possessions in the AFL behind Essendon Hitouts 10th Clangers 11th Handballs 2nd Disposal efficiency 2nd Tackles 17th , that's terrible but Hawthorn are worse! Goals 18th Contested marks 18th So last at goals and contested marks that sounds like we lack tall forwards.

I don't like threads started for no reason. If you have nothing to say I suggest that's what you say. You may actually deter someone that has actually been to training. Thanks

This doesn't seem to be a problem at EFC
-
No now it looks like Pederson
-
So that's 16 matches with a good forward plus add Gawn Jamar and Fitz playing well with Sylvia & Howe thrown in. That looks like a forward line.

What about out at Casey?
-
Probably right re Cameron. Against WCE Frawley seemed to lack intent and commitment, his disposal skills were also way down. Don't get me wrong Frawley at his best is a gun. But against WCE he didn't commit to chase, did not chase at pace, regularly peeled off a chase and his demeanor could be construed as a lack of interest. But he may have been injured, in a strange way I hope he was.

Dunn always has a go, but struggles forward. His penetrating kick for mine is better going into the forward 50. I would prefer with the current lack of forwards to play Garland or Tommy Mac forward. Maybe given Frawleys apparent lack of interest last week try him forward. For what is is worth rotate all of them through the forward 50, couldn't be worse than last week. Pederson for mine goes back and when forwards return way back - to Casey.

Finally Kingy Talks Sense - Free Agency is a Disaster
ManDee replied to rjay's topic in Melbourne Demons
Surely you jest. -
The common thread with the bottom three sides is that we are all suffering from lack of key forwards. We are not alone with this problem, misery loves company. We will get better.

True to name dee-luded hope you are right.

You may have missed it but Fitzy was concussed round 1 he played 39% game time total. If you had ever been concussed you might understand, sometimes you think you are right then double vision, dizziness, disorientation etc etc. and it can come and go. Who else have we got? Give the guy a break, he was on the park unlike some others.
-
I disagree, I was at both matches, against the Saints we ran and chased. I saw real effort for little scoreboard reward. We were woeful against the Weagles. Right from the start many of the players appeared disinterested. N Jones you have a life pass from any criticism from me, you always try, never seen a game where you didn't give your all. Fitpatrick must have been still suffering from concussion, he didn't know where he was. What was going on with Frawley? Worst effort I have ever seen from him. Others were just lazy.

I know a club that offered pick 2 for a bloke called Tyson and pick 9 etc? Strange things can happen.

Also over 2 hours from the G. I donate to the club every year, I suppose I get a warm feeling that lasts until March when the anger sets in. Come September I will donate again, creature of habit I suppose. If we become good again in my lifetime at least I can say I stuck with the Dees through thin & thinner.

Excuse me while I choke. Fifty years, I am a paid up member, I call that very fkn patient. And I'm prepared to give Dimitri time.
-
Scott Thompson was repeatedly played by Daniher injured. Scotts dad had words with Daniher indicating he would never play for the Dees again. He didn't. Our loss.
-
Bit tough on Carrol, had few skills but still gave 100%. Gysberts played 2 fantastic games.
-
We do, he is injured.
-
As much as I hate it we may have to keep Pederson for another week. We need a forward so Frawley or Garand - if fit forward and lucky Pedo to play back until any tall forward available.
-
What match are you talking about? He can be a penetrating kick, he is hard to beat one on one, he spoils well, takes a good intercept mark, he is an effective backman. As a forward he is not AFL standard. Contested marks zero. Marks in forward 50 zero. He can hit a target but forwards kick goals. I like Dunn, play him in defence.

I think many are missing the point that our midfield is going OK. Now before you have kittens, the problem the midfield are having is they get the ball, look up and there is no one to kick it too. Then they go sideways or back to another player that looks up, no one there then sideways and back until we turn it over. We really need moving viable targets up forward and until that happens we have more pain in store. Byrnes is not the answer nor is Dunn. I think until some forwards become available we need to raid the backline. Frawley or if available Garland forward. Fitzpatrick was so bad he must have been suffering from concussion still, if better I would give him another go, who else?
