I thought this topic may have the cure to my over the water yips. But alas no help here. Yes I know imagine there is no water, it doesn't work, like the do not press the red button signs.
Chris, if Roos is leaving the motivation to the players then two things are apparent.
1 He is no longer the coach.
2 The players can't do it.
So Chris when Roos tells the media that the side will play like maniacs or play angry are you suggesting that is coming from the players not him?
If any coach expects the players to get up after being flogged with no direction from the coach then he is not a coach. That was my point.
Roos said they needed to play like maniacs and expect them to play angry. They didn't.
A coach's job is to get the best from the players. On that basis he is failing at the moment.
Was that effort supposed to be playing angry?
I did not see any anger in the first quarter when the coach's message should have been fresh in the players mind. Nor did I see them playing like maniacs the week before. Is the coaches message getting through? Or is his message just for the supporters. As a supporter (read paid up member) I don't think his message is getting through. The effort was better this week but how could it not be?
Lou, seriously what has a loss to Geelong in 2011 got to do with players we keep next year. It is as ludicrous as Geelong saying they will hang onto every player that played in that same game.
Judge players on what they have done and can do. Not in whether they played in a game 5 years ago.
Yes I'm having a similar problem.
DC I get a lot of zeros, still waiting for a number.... still waiting....... running low on ink, Cecil get some more ink.....That is a lot of zeros, what was the question?
