I did similar, but have been getting more serious after the Goldstein game (where Gawn handled him). My reasoning was that if Gawn could do that to Goldstein, then he will most likely do that to most ruckman, and providing we win, he'll get the 2 or 3. I think he stands out. Massive show, few more dominant weeks he will at least be a lock for the place.

Bugg is near my first picked most weeks. I am massive fan.

Lumumba no obvious in. Salem needs Casey more than MFC needs Salem ATM. A lot of talent and not a lot of results.

Another handful of games like that, TAB pays out on Gawn for Brownlow before bye, I can spend the second half of the year traveling the country.

Is Petracca tradeable at the end of the year?

Nah, Petracca no joke. -

Yep. Put in take out job for the rising star. Oliver is just warming up. He is the first go to point beneath the tap, at least he should be. Eases the burden on our big guns (Viney, Jones). Look what Jones can do with a relatively free reign. -
Jack Watts vision is pretty special. Might be all coming together for MFC. Glad I just grabbed that extra six pack of Beam can, feeling like a special night.

Go Trac, bring that rising star home to the King.

I wish we could trade into this Adam Saad bloke, need that run out of our backline most weeks.

Whoever said Wagner is a hack is silly. He is going to be a good player. He is composed down back, doesn't panic and makes the right decisions. He is only a first year player. FFS.

That goal resulted out of Oliver's hands in close. This kid is off his head.
-
Billy Stretch has even shown something in patches. Enough to think he could be a player down the track.
-
Good for supercoach at least.
-
His inside work is sublime. I have never seen anything like it. Not just has tackles ,but his hands in close.
-
We are going to smash this mob now. J.Hunt. Good boy.
-
Tom Bugg is doing well. I think he actually has a decent ceiling. He is becoming quite a composed player.
-
Not much of a game.

Oliver is such a gun.

I must've subconsciously drifted towards the Carl/Coll game because of that. Because I have more SC players in the WC/Geel game. But I am watching the Carl/Coll game.

ANB, Trengove and Vince can all play back. I think ANB can be effective back or forward, but I was impressed with his SANFL highlights down back. He might be slow - but he makes the right plays. ANB has a sharp brain, and that is what we need down back - someone who can delegate. We don't have a general down back. Salem isn't the answer, he is a player with a lot of potential (and I think a future inside mid), but he isn't a intuitive player, he is an instinctual player IMO - a ball chaser, tackler, best left to his own devices. ANB will be better down back. He should be first point of call, looking to get the ball in the hands of Trengove, Vince, Watts, Jetta, or Salem. When I think of ANB, I think Shane Briggs from the WB. He is underrated, and sets up a lot of their play (at least he did until last week). Agree with the OP about Oliver, he is something else. His inside work is comparable to a Josh Kennedy - who I rate as the best inside worker in the league (just down on form a little atm). I think Oliver has more upside, is more explosive, and potentially more dominant.

I bought a pair of New Balance shoes this year just because they are our sponsor. Best pair of runners I have purchased. I paid on the higher end, but definitely worth it.

I don't how many times over the years (usually during crisis time) that I have heard the term "within our 4 walls". I think the statement originated under Hardwick. It is the get out of jail free card for the players (Riewoldt, Cotchin). I think it signifies that Richmond aren't willing to accept outside criticism. I think Hardwick, and Leppitch for that matter, are cut from the same cloth. They just see it their way, and neither are willing to accept their way could be the wrong way.

Is Tom McDonald tradable at the end of 2016?
KingDingAling replied to Adam The God's topic in Melbourne Demons
I wouldn't offload McDonald. He just needs more support down back. He isn't a stay at home defender, but will improve playing alongside one (and a good one). If we managed to snare Hurley in the upcoming trade period, I think we'd see McDonald find more consistency. If we had the luxury of playing McDonald loose man in the backline he'd probably take 10-15 intercept marks a game. We just aren't there yet. Dunn has stagnated, Oscar isn't quite ready, Garland is finished, and White is too short to play a lock down role. TMAC is invaluable for us atm, even if he does have the odd brain fade.- 176 replies

Spot on.

What I read from Roos comments is more about structure and Trengove knowing what his role will be. Once he is ready, then Roos can prepare him for what that role will look like. At present they are probably just letting Trengove play his natural game, find some of the pill, and derive some sort of enjoyment out of football. Admittedly I am only speculating.
