I suspect Jones will get another year in after this year. He hasn't been that bad. I don't think he looks finished, he just isn't in great form.

Jones earned the captaincy. He should be the one to decide who he passes it on to. Viney should just focus on his football, he could probably do with a stint down Casey. He needs to work on his game.

Goodwin is a poor coach, he always has been, but blaming him for our loses is bullsh*t. Goodwin isn't to blame for Salem turning the ball over all day, Viney declining, McDonald being a spud, and our mids not delivering the ball effectively into 50 (its not like Goodwin hasn't spoken of it).

Viney and Jones can co-captain Casey. Along with Lewis, that would be where they are best placed in our club. Help fast track any youth we have coming through.

He is a good tap ruck. That is why he is part time ruck. But he isn't a forward. I'd have him down back and pinch hitting in the ruck. His asset is his versatility. He will struggle to get a game here on out though. Lever and May back push a couple out.

May comes across well in that interview. Sounds like he went through a rough patch. Good luck to him in his second game.

Weideman will be hitting his straps next year. Another pre-season will do him wonders. McDonald should be good enough to play second fiddle. The thing is, really good forwards are very hard to come by. If Cameron were available we could ask the question, but could we afford him - given he will be chased by every club shall he be open to leaving GWS.

We have the leagues best tap ruckman hands down, and we are not taking advantage of it. Its pathetic. Goes a long way to explaining why we are in the bottom half of teams. It all starts in the middle. Winning a tap, clearing a contest, and disposing the ball effectively into the forward 50 - then hopefully kicking truly. Football is a simple game made easier by having a great tap ruckman. Gawn deserves a brownlow for carrying MFC on his own this year.

He will be a great specialist midfield coach. Outside of that I haven't heard great things about him (as a person).

May and Lever could do with another run in the VFL. Maybe even another couple of runs in the VFL. No need to rush these guys. When we bring players in we need them to be cherry ripe. Especially Lever. He has been out for a significant period. If we can get away without those guy for at least another week - we should do so. IN: Salem, Hore OUT: Oscar Mc, Spargo or JKH.

No. We just need to run Brayshaw into the ground as a midfielder. Dont care what we do with Viney. Oliver and Jones are effective resting forward. But how we are playing Brayshaw on the wing at present just shows a lack of understanding of basic footy. He is too slow to play wing, and he does not have the precision. Not only is it a waste but we need to be utilizing our wings with pace, as we have a slow midfield unit as it is. Putting Brayshaw on the wing just compounds that.

The kid looks good, sharp. Could be a player. He is exactly what we need right about now, so long as he can use the ball well, he will automatically be invaluable for us.

Hopefully he isnt suffering any after effects from his time at Essendon.

Panics in tight, handballs it off to blokes already in danger, doesn't look ahead of the contest, hacks it on the boot, fumbles. Plenty of potential there, and does have some points on the board after two really good seasons. But he is a bit down this year. He isn't improving at a rate I - and I'm sure many - were expecting him to.

What if we held firm and demanded pick 5 off of Freo, and drafted Rozzee. What if we didn't sell the farm for Lever. What if Oliver didn't sh*t himself everytime he had the ball in close and dished it off like a hot spud. What if Petracca wasn't scared to take the game on. What if Brayshaw didn't turn the ball over so much and had penetration in his kick. What if we had two Christian Salem's. What if we didn't overrate Tom McDonald as a forward. He isn't a forward's a-hole. What if Gawn was an effective tap ruckman. What if Goodwin could coach. What if we dropped Lewis back to the VFL - where he belongs. What if Hibberd went with him. What if we had of kept Bernie Vince. What if.

Freeman might be worth looking at. He is injury prone but if we give nothing then he'd be worth a gamble. We need pace and game breakers.

Big NO for Patton. Not interested at all. We should have learnt our lesson with Lever - don't trade for players with an ACL history. Not rocket science. Even Petracca is a shadow of the player he would've been. ACL's are no joke. They really affect an individual. Hopefully the football department take a few deep breaths next time, count to 10, then halve what they want to give for a player. This football department has set this club back a long way.

I would trade anyone on our list bar Gawn or Salem.
