GAMEDAY: Rd 18 vs Hawthorn
About 30 points.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide
It was his opposite foot. That being said, it sounded rushed anyway. Mid week I was thinking why would they. I think it’s unlucky and not related, but still a valid question.

CHANGES: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide
Must win game. Prime time TV slot. We need to start performing when given these opportunities. Not just for our season, but for our future supporters. We need to put on a really strong performance.

Time to panic?
No need to panic. Too many positives. We need to double down on our processes and sticking to them always - especially in the face of adversity. Mostly we’ve done this. We’ve had to too much - because we always give away starts. We should focus on winning clearances. Yze has had his time in there and failed us miserably. Time to get someone who is an experienced midfield coach. Solving our midfield goes along way to fixing our forward 50 entries, which in turn helps us score, and takes pressure off our defense.

Trade Targets
I like Farrell from Port. Fiorini as mentioned already by someone. He’d be a good get. Pretty much any left footed, hard running wingman, would compliment our list. Ed Richards perhaps. Someone not getting a run in other sides but could compliment us, without busting the bank.

5 Trade Targets for the Dees
Alex Sexton is worth a shot. Outside of that, maybe chase their third pick. Not sure we have a lot to offer. They may bite at TMAC and Brayshaw. It would take that to get it done. Both clubs should do that. We could then inject more talent, and chase a winger through free agency.

If Ben Brown doesnt play the rest of the year
Yep. I agree. Lucky for us we have had this season to weed out the 3rd best forward. Weideman isn’t up to it.

Alex Neal-Bullen
ANB should get better with age. Improving skills is something that comes with more experience and time beating on your craft. It’s always been a weakness, but it is improving, as it can and should. With improving skills and more confidence in his skillset, he does not look as rushed, and is able to use that time to focus, whereas in the past he panicked a touch. I’ve noticed effective improvements across the board. He has always been a good runner, had great will and determination. I think he will improve further into a really decent b grade player, much like Harmes did.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND: DANIEL TURNER
I’d be getting rid of them. Both have more than had enough opportunity. Injuries haven’t helped, but to contribute you have to be out there and these guys unfortunately haven’t been able to get on the park. The delicate balance is to determine the likelihood of them getting out there, in comparison to an unproven player. Opportunity doesn’t sit idle when we are always trying to unearth future stars.

Welcome back to Demonland: Tayla Harris
I haven’t followed the AFLW since Harris left the Dees. I’d watch again if she played for us again. Good time to come back to the club. Only helps boost our profile.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND: DANIEL TURNER
The VFL is for development. If they are up to scratch and develop well they progress, if not they drop off our list and most likely go back to playing a lesser standard post football.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND: KYE DECLASE
Looks a winger to my eye. Has plenty of pace and willingness to take the game on, looks a nice kick.

2021 Off season targets
I like Kane Farrell from Port. Gettable. Good kick, classy user. Don’t know if he’d transition to a wingman, but he’d add something different to our side regardless. Would be a best 22 player.

Adam Cerra
Cerra doesn’t really fill a need for us. He is going to be a star, of that I have no doubt - really like the kid (not many flaws). His ball use is something that we could use, but we drafted Bowey and Laurie for that. Cerra would come at a high cost and he plays in a position where we are already very strong. We need to fill our weaknesses at this point. Money better spent elsewhere. I’d perhaps look to move on a big dollar forward in exchange for a proven wingman to compliment Langers.

GAMEDAY: Rd 11 vs Western Bulldogs
We will win. Levels above. Should be 40 points up, we come home well, the bullies have kicked accurate and their luck will run out. We will play stronger opposition this year. I’m happy to be on us for 25 plus tonight.

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs Adelaide
We did ok. Really tough game to play against Adelaide at home when the umps are up and about. Good solid game. We will learn a bit. Max was off, Lever was good but not himself. Oliver huge. Plenty to like. Brown will come in and Viney would’ve been good tonight. Jordan probably earned a break and a freshen up. Good effort by the lads under the circumstances.

2021 Injury List
Gawn can ruck the whole ground and just leave McDonald to ruck the forward 50.
-
Centre Clearances - Considered Analysis Requested.
Oliver needs to play the role of extractor at center bounces. He has sharp hands. Gawn should go to him regardless of whether the opposition are clued on. You cannot cover both sides of Oliver and if you do then it frees up a player. It’s basic common sense.

AFL Mid Season Draft 2021
A replacement for Tomlinson would be ideal for us. We can use this draft to our advantage. Perfect time to bring in a mature bodied replacement. Even if slightly older to just fill a role for the year.
-
Luke Jackson - Rising Star nomination
I don’t see the Goodes comparison at all. Completely different types of players. Goodes was a powerful, and explosive, athletic beast. Jackson is more of a gritty, aggressive inside mid, yet plays as a ruck/forward. He appears to have hands like Oliver, tackles like Nic Nat. If there is any comparison it’s probably more Nic Nat than anything.
-
Do we lack midfield depth?
Harmes is the man to come in for Viney. Harmes is excellent defensively (when he is fully fit and motivated).
-
Does McDonald go back?
Yes because Petty isn’t much chop. McDonald is the man for the job.

GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs North Melbourne
Playing Melksham in the midfield falls on Goodwin. Playing Baker also. Goodwin cannot go out there and play himself though, so the players largely have to take most the brunt. However, Goodwin hasn’t helped us much today.
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs North Melbourne
He is a turnover merchant, who cannot execute, nor handle any incoming pressure. He is essentially a liability. Has cost us today, not as big as Melksham in the midfield early, which set the wrong tone. Brayshaw is another who isn’t up to AFL level at present. All 3 shouldn’t be in this side.

GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs North Melbourne
Melksham, Brayshaw, baker, all delist material
