  1. Obviously a lot can change over the JLT Series, but I think that our list can divided into 3 categories right at this moment: Round 1 Locks Hogan, Jones, Salem, Watts. Petracca, Lewis, Viney, Brayshaw, Gawn, Tyson, Oliver, Hibberd, Frost, Melksham, Vince, Tom McDonald, Oscar McDonald, Hunt, Garlett, Jetta In the mix – Competition for remaining spots will be fierce Trengove, Billy Stretch (First picked out of this group), Kent (Would normally be in the above group but his back is an issue), Garland, Pedersen, AvB, JKH, Weideman, ANB, Bugg, Jake Spencer, Ben Kennedy, Tim Smith, Dion Johnstone, Wagner, Harmes, Joel Smith Developing at Casey Mitch Hannon (Shoulder reco will hold him back), Liam Hulett, Mitch King, Pat McKenna, Mitch White, Declan Keilty (He’s not far from the above group if one of our KPD goes down), Filipovic, Corey Maynard The one thing that stands out to me is our improved depth.
  2. I'm not too sure we should be concerned with form dips from a young kid who won our BF last year and lost it by a vote the year before. Jack will lead our club for the next 7 years. Why not get Chunk to transition JV into the role in his 30th year so that Jonesy can focus on his footy in 2018 and beyond???
  3. Hibbo trained prior to the intra-club and they were doing a backs v forwards drill. He didn't take part in the intra-club though.
  4. They're our KPDs for the next 5 years. 14-15 teams will be envious.
  5. How do you know this? I know many in the footy world where shocked when Bernie's best mate Tex Walker was named Crow's skipper ahead of Dangerfield and Sloane. Inside the Adelaide club it was a matter of when and not if Tex got the job. My point is, how would any of us really know who is regarded as a leader by the players at MFC???
  6. I think you'll find that Kent is having some issues with his back.
  7. What incredible insight.
  8. Dean Kent - Kegga
  9. The power of the mind. It can do incredible things.
  10. Great to see Viv playing at Collegians. He is a Wesley boy and will enjoy playing under Shane Joyce. I know Matty Jones was keen to get him down at the Kennel (South Croydon) but playing with school mates got him over the line. (and no doubt the nice job Collegians would've found for Viv.)
  11. Friday training has been switched from Casey back to Gosch's. Sorry Casey folk!
  12. Time (and Misso) will tell, I suppose.
  13. Fair call. I heard it from a player's mother today at training . I told her I'd heard it was a quad and she told me with certainty what Dom had done.
  14. ANB has done it 3 times, the last of which was when Jordan Lewis fell across his leg in a session just before Xmas.
  15. It's the exact same injury ANB had and he has had a few setbacks with that so the club will be ultra-cautious.
  16. Dom Tyson dislocated his patella at the camp. He'll need everything to go right to be ready for round 1.
  17. Cheers mate. I hope he gets on top of it. Quads can take a long time to heal properly. I'm sure Misso will take an ultra cautious with him.
  18. Hi Saty, Can you confirm that Dom did a quad and not a knee?
  19. Thanks for the training reports guys. They are written in a way that make the rest of us feel like we are there and not missing a beat. Cheers! Does anybody know anything about the training camp the boys are embarking upon tomorrow??
  20. I remember PJ saying that the debt was in relation to the purchase of the Bentleigh Club and was considered a healthy debt, if there is such a thing. Or am I making this up?
  21. There is a group of ex-players that regularly meet up for a beer before a Dee's game. I have seen them at the Corner Hotel on at least a couple of occasions. It's bit of an eclectic mix because they played in different periods and some of them are involved at other clubs. It generally includes Rod Grinter, Brad Green, David Neitz and Paul Hopgood, and I've seen Steve Tingay with them. David Schwarz also goes to games when he can with his old mate Guy Rigoni.
  22. This is my take on it. Trac posted a photo or two of himself on Instagram having a beer in Bali with his mates. According to someone this amounts to him going overboard and meaning he's going to be behind the eight ball. This kid's ego won't allow him to fall behind others. He wants to be the best he can be.
  23. It also gives him a couple of extra days on the sauce to ponder how a club he has served so valiantly for many years can shaft him for a couple of upstarts who have achieved little in the game.
  24. I suppose if the sources were that concerned about confidentiality they would have kept the information confidential???
  25. You must be fun at parties!
