  1. I got down there today. Yokozuna did a wonderful summary. Here are some little observations from me: I watched the re-hab group very closely. They worked with Crossy, Garlo (who did a lot of the work the boys) and a few others. This group consisted of Viney, Tommy Mac, Patty McKenna and Jesse. Jesse looked a bit ginger and seemed to be conscious of a groin/upper leg issue. He moved pretty slowly but later joined the main group and looked okay. Viney and McDonald worked for about 45 minutes. They did some dynamic stretching, run throughs, ladder work, kicking, shots at goal and some interval running. It was far from intense and both seemed to be in good spirits. Viney had on these Nike shoes with the most cushioning in a runner I had ever seen. Weid is doing all the work with the ruck group now. He spent a lot of time with Flip and Kingy working with Greg Stafford doing agility stuff. Benny Matthews took the session. It was in beautiful conditions and the mood was very upbeat.
  2. 1. Jesse looks like he is enjoying his footy again. Makes my heart melt. 2. Our ability to go coast to coast and make them pay for turnovers that we forced. 3. Gawn v Martin. Gawn early, Martin fought back. Great contest.
  3. He had to kick that goal. I'd love to know his conversion rate for shots inside 35.
  4. It seems like our answer to surges at the moment is to throw numbers behind the footy. The problem with that is that the other side have all the momentum, smash us around the footy and don't let us clear our defensive 50. They get opportunity after opportunity to score. I'm not sure the coaches can do too much else at this stage. It's up to our leaders to say " [censored] this. I'm going to put my nose over the next contest. You're not getting past me." See Joel Selwood, Luke Hodge, Josh Kennedy.
  5. In: Frost, Brayshaw Out: Wagner, Bugg Gus rotates through the middle. Salem returns to a HBF. Frost rotates through Waite and Brown allowing Lever to play on the third forward and Hibberd to play on a small. Would consider playing Hunt as that defensive forward to run him back into form.
  6. You want Lewis out of the side but then go on to say he cost us finals last year by being out of the side???
  7. It sure does. They’ll put you upstairs and you can watch the game with fellow Dee supporters. I used to watch our interstate games at our other pub the Leighoak as I live 500m away. You’d get a few Dees supporters in there, not a bad atmosphere. I turned up to watch the St. Kilda JLT game a couple of weeks ago only to be told they gotten rid of Foxtel! So you can’t even watch our club at our club run pub. Wtf?!
  8. A win is a win tonight. The last two formal games we’ve played have left a really bitter taste in our mouths. We need to get the winning feeling back and build some momentum. This will make footy fun again.
  9. I thought our composure really let us down yesterday. Too many times players threw the ball on their boot in a panicked fashion. We gave our forwards zero chance. Until this improves we'll be making up the numbers.
  10. You really are a sad old man. You can't handle that others may be privy to information that you are not.
  11. Good luck to Wattsy, but if you want to build a game based around relentless pressure, ferocious tackling and every player playing their role you just can’t have a weak link in the chain.
  12. JKH would have carved out a nice little niche playing in our midfield 5-6 years ago and played some good AFL football. As Stretch suggests, he is a fair way down the pecking order now. I still think Dean Kent has a role to play. He just needs to play consistently at Casey and keep putting his hand up. Spargo has Caleb Daniel written all over him, both in his size and the way he goes about. He will be a good footballer.
  13. Nibbler doesn't have a strained groin and he is playing tonight? You know what.. You're not worth the effort. I actually enjoyed reading the majority of your posts, but the way you have gone after me for providing information because you weren't privy to it is nothing short of juvenile. "I didn't tell you all that, Nibbler didn't tell me that, it can't be true".
  14. Last I’ll say on this but maybe they were happy with the progress he had made over the last 4 days so they go him out for some gentle straight line running. Not that hard to comprehend.
  15. He has a groin issue mate. Was reported on here after it happened. Was confirmed to me. I stand by it. I can’t believe how some people on here like to argue over semantics.
  16. Just passing on what I heard. Please put me on ignore. Why don't you just focus on loitering behind the players' tent after training and sending them invasive posts on their private Instagram accounts that they never respond to.
  17. Hey mate, I’m just a supporter who was given some info about an injury. I wasn’t told to keep it in-house or under wraps. I’d love you to show me where you’ve gave me the same feedback last year??? Don’t worry. I won’t share anything on here anymore. I will leave all club news to you Saty, considering you are best friends with all the playing group.
  18. The bandage he was wearing covered his upper thigh/ groin area. The area he strained actually reaches down into his upper thigh.
  19. Take it to the bank. It was sustained at training last week. Will not play Thursday and will be off legs all week. The club is hopeful he will be ready for Round 1.
  20. Neal-Bullen gave his groin a tweak last week. Will not play Thursday and is racing the clock to play round 1.
  21. I reckon you can add ANB to this list. He'll be touch and go for round 1.
  22. I too enjoyed the new format. The players were very good with their time and were certainly happy to give you a glimpse into the inner sanctum. The camaraderie between the players was clearly evident. They all love Goody. "Elite at relationships" is how he was described by one player, which is certainly not how the majority were describing their last coach.
