Thanks for sharing. With Dawes, Trenners and AvB coming into that side it raised our average age by a little bit too. The average games played stat is the one that is important. This group of players with an average games played of 90 - 100 matches will be a very different beast.

Small forward is the hardest role to play on the ground. Jeffy will bounce back.
-
Jeffy has enough credits in the bank. Harmes doesn't. The only other change I'd like to perhaps see is Mitch White for Wagner, whose decision making still worries me. Yes, we can upgrade White.

You'd take an early second rounder for Jack Viney? That's the sort of impact they'll feel losing Dion will have on their club.
-
What have you heard J?
-
She's gone home and they gave her a job. Who can blame her?

Jesse's circumstances are unfortunately different at this point in time. I'd suggest that Jesse will be getting back to Perth a little bit more before the year is out.

The Jesse Hogan Panic Room - all contract talk here

I wouldn't worry too much about Jesse heading over to Perth this week. I'm very proud of the way the club is handling him. -
MFC 2016 Membership - Record Broken. Next stop: 40,000
Tough Kent replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
AFL Members are members of the MFC. We get club support packages where a portion of our $500 per year goes to the club. I suggest some posters do their homework before calling others 'too tight'. -
Cam has a lot of Demon mates that love to stir him up.

I know the author well. Knowing his dislike for all things MFC it must've pained him to write it.

I've heard that Matty Jones actually dislocated a rib. Never heard of that happening before and it sounds bloody painful. He's likely to miss 1-2 more.
-
Not if you're a Spur's fan.
-
I'd settle for it beating Willy tonight. They're a quality VFL club.

QT Stats Disposals - Michie 10, Petracca 9, Grimes 8 Goals - Grimes, Hulett, J.Smith 1.

My 3 word player analysis v North Melbourne
Tough Kent replied to joeboy's topic in Melbourne Demons
When you are using Supercoach points to assess a player's impact you know you are using a flawed system. -

A couple of lace out passes from Simon Godfrey. I'd heard about them but didn't think they existed.
-
One for Melksham, one for Rd one?
-
I don't think so. Too underdone. He'd be my favourite for the rookie upgrade spot though. I think he offers us more going forward than Wagner and Viv.

Training - Friday 11th March, 2016
Tough Kent replied to Devil is in the Detail's topic in Melbourne Demons
Watched training for an hour this morning. The NAB challenge squad were joined by Petracca, Trengove, JKH and Joel Smith. Gus Brayshaw clocked up a few km's on the sidelines and moved well with a heavily strapped knee. Dawesy was on the scooter and Ben Newton did a lot of work with crossy. The focus was on ball movement and Benny Matthews barked a lot of instructions at the boys, with the emphasis being on taking care of the ball. Jesse Hogan didn't do the whole session. Not sure why as he moved very well. Based on how they set up today look for Oscar McDonald to fill Dunn's role this week and Wagner to take Jayden Hunt's spot, as Jayden trained separately from the main group on the back oval. Jayden was the one player not at the Season Launch. Is anyone aware of something going on with him? The lads playing at Casey tomorrow were not sighted. -
Christian Petracca's toe injury (in full training)
Tough Kent replied to DeeSpencer's topic in Melbourne Demons
I watched training this morning. Petracca, JKH, Trenners and Joel Smith trained with the NAB Challenge squad for Sunday. The lads playing at Casey tomorrow were unsighted. Gus did multiple run throughs and looked good, albeit with a heavily bandaged knee. Dawes rode laps on Trenner's scooter. Benny Newton did a lot of hard work with Crossy. Jayden Hunt trained away from the main group on the back oval. So many times Christian was on the end of full ground ball movement drills. It looks like the club will be using him as a deep forward meaning fitness won't be such an issue. Hopefully we see him sooner rather than later. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - ALEX NEAL-BULLEN
Tough Kent replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
ANB has had some slight injury concerns over the pre-season. His knee felt unstable very early on and the club put him into re-hab. He tweaked his groin in Qld and missed all bar the last session up there. He also hurt an ankle, but he is fit and ready to go now. The coaches have given him some areas to work on. He'll have to earn his spot through good form in the Casey practice matches. ANB is playing this Saturday.- 297 replies
