I'm not particularly worried. If you have a look at 2004-6 drafts you can see that only about 50% of first round draft picks become quality players. Add to the fact that many GC youngsters will be starved for opportunity and will want to leave, I don't believe the GC is in the box seat to clean up as some people think.

If a guy looks supremely unco in an amazing team (2005-6) and can't make it in the worst playing lot in years (2010), what does that tell you.

They are two separate issues. Whether or not Giants or Wolves are franchises in America, Wolves are still ferocious, alliterate with 'West Sydney' and don't make me think of Robbie Coltrane. But what's done is done, I'm going to have to get used to our new franchises and cheer on my CLUB to obliterate them.

Hopefully the price doesn't go up even more! The bigger sport stores like Rebel etc actually bullied the smaller stores (The AFL store) into raising their prices last year on the club guernseys. They are mind-numbingly expensive and go out of date every other year.

Jurrah - Not only do I love watching Liam play, but everyone I know, supporters from every club, love to watch him play. I get Hawthorn supporters coming with me to Melbourne games (not involving Hawthorn) just so we can sink beers and yell JURRAHHH at the top of our lungs. A team unto himself. There's guys like Watts and Trengrove who are going to be freaks but I really admire the way Lynden cut the crap this year and started performing at a consistent level. Seeing guys handball off to him and he spanks it 65m for a goal was incredible to see. A hard worker.
