  1. We did beat port in port after the hawks win last year...but i certainly get your point. Geez I think I feel another level of dejected this week...sunday hurt me bad. Real bad. As for my two cents, OUT: T.Bugg (cost us the game with his 4 behinds), Salem (suspended), Wagner (just hasn't made an impact yet) INS: Melksham, Harmes, ANB Dear lord, Please give us the strength to go 5-5. F@#king please.
  2. The Jarrod Lyons hit on Liam Shiels was the exact same as Jordan Lewis's hit on cripps. They were both wrestling and exchanging punches and then one slides off the arm and hits them in the jaw...the only thing is Liam shiels isn't a piece of s*** and didn't drop to the ground like cripps did, also didn't receive a hairline fracture but cripps was fine to play this week without even a head guard. But the exact same incident and the exact same lead up and exact same mechanism... one bloke gets a fine and one bloke gets 3 weeks... Go figure
  3. I believe 3 weeks is an absolute joke for Jordan lewis, but regardless the fact that he put himself in this situation is an indictment. Jordan came to the club for leadership and skills and to teach a young team how to play AFL footy. Regardless of if he hit him or blah blah, Jordan put himself in the situation where a negative result could occur in a quarter where we were down in the dumps. He stooped down to the level, frustrated by our poor performance that quarter and hit a guy after a blues goal and got himself suspended. An absolute atrocity, and something he should feel very ashamed of
  4. In other selection news over at the aints, I made a little adjustment... "David Armitage (groin) and Nathan Wright (dropped (By Bernie Vince)) were the other omissions on Thursday night. Veteran Leigh Montagna, West Australian Blake Acres and 2014's top draft pick, Paddy McCartin, were named."

  6. According to the AFL website we're holding an intraclub Casey Demons match down at Casey Fields on Friday for all of our underdone players. Friday March 10 at 7.00pm Intraclub at Casey Fields It says there will be 12 Dees playing, with Neville Jetta probably the main one. Anyone gonna head down and watch?

  8. Anyone head down today, Ben Guthrie on afl.com.au said we trained for about 3 hours "Melbourne was out on the track for almost three hours on Tuesday as they get set for their next pre-season clash against Carlton at Casey Fields this Saturday. Watts trained strongly with the forward group and spent time after training working on his goalkicking. Dean Kent and Jack Viney received some treatment for finger issues, while Jeff Garlett and Sam Frost completed a boxing session on the sidelines and did not join teammates out on the track."
  9. Pretty poor how the club has handled it sending both Gawn and TMac to do interviews. I feel like their comments were really convoluted and really told nothing about what was going on. The club simply needed to make a statement saying what is what, but these strange interviews from these two members of our leadership group have just added fuel to the fire and now I'm more confused than ever!
  10. I believe they're trying to get both him and Tyson fit for the 3rd JLT game and then they can play the VFL practise match so I don't think he's down and out just yet. But if he does miss, I think JKH could fill in okay.
  11. What would people reckon Rockliff would be worth $$ wise. If we renegotiated his contract, whilst he gets a tonne of the footy, he's not very effective. Couldn't see us wanting to pay him over $400k a year?
  12. The great thing is that if all results go our way leading up to that match, the giants have as much of an incentive as north do... they have a top 4 spot up for grabs (they'll have a better percentage than geelong so all they'll need to do is win v north)
  13. Thought the interview with doc turf was one of your best guys! Keep up the good work!
  14. I think it would be more value if tom was able to be the 2nd tall. if we recruited someone like a hurley which would be brilliant, i wouldn't want that to be at the expense of TMAC. I think TMAC would be amazing in tandem with someone like a hurley
  15. Yeah as said above this was on the afl website "Uncontracted Gold Coast midfielder Dion Prestia also spent the week in Melbourne, meeting with manager Marty Pask as he looks to decide his home for 2017."
  16. If Dunn was there he'd give away a stupid free kick
  17. It's got to the point where it's seriously worrying for his future in the game...
  18. Let's hope he stays there and gets a consistent block where he can play his preferred position!
  19. For a team that was mind numbingly slow last year, we now have some serious leg speed all around the ground
  20. Confirmed. Jayden Hunt will debut this week against the pies. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/2016-04-14/jayden-hunt-calls-his-mum
  21. I don't want to put the mozza on us but IMO this is one of the most important games I think our club has played in for a long time. It is this game where we will see if our side has become a real AFL side or not, whether we are willing to kick our excuses in the crutch or kneel down and accept mediocrity. This is the kind of game we have historically lost (think Carlton last year). Our side needs to finally stand up and live up to their standards because, on paper, we all know our team is better.
  22. I cannot for the life of me decide whether Lumumba gets a gig or not! I'm rolling back and forth between including him
  23. When you said trenners was playing in 2 weeks, is there a VFL praccy match then? Might come and watch
