  1. Anyone got any reports from training today?
  2. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2019-02-28/injury-update-four-stars-back-training Looks like all of Jones, Viney, May and Melk are good Kolo Good for round 1 (probably VFL) Lever Going great guns Hannan seems terrible "Hopefully see him before the bye" ? Nietschke done for the year obviously
  3. Loved that interview so much. Admitted that he had stagnated and hadn't got as much out of his career so far but owned up to it. I can see him having an awesome pre season and catapulting us into the top 4 next year. Best believe it D'landers... this is our time.
  4. This is a way to get us May and Pick 13 for Hogan which I think many would regard as a big win
  5. Proposed trade: Melbourne give Hogan <----> Fremantle give picks 5 + 23 Melbourne give pick 5 <----> Adelaide give pick 13 GC give pick 19 <---> Adelaide give pick 8 GC give Steven May <------> Melbourne give pick 23 Fremantle Get: Hogan Give: Picks 5 + 23 Melbourne Get: May, Pick 13. Give: Hogan Adelaide Get: Picks 5 + 19 Give: Picks 8 + 13 GC Get: Picks 8 + 23 Give: May + 19 Thoughts on this trade?
  6. It’s funny isn’t it. We’ve spent years talking about brayshaw’s concussion saying how tough his football style is and that’s why he’s getting them. Now people say that KK is soft because of his style of play e.g. more outside, I guarantee you a lot of those people haven’t seen him. Very excited about his acquisition. The right mix of tough and polish and I think he’ll be a great addition.
  7. I'm 90% sure Cat B rookies don't count as players on your main 44 man squad
  8. I am sure this will get done. Freo are all over the shop but they'll pull their heads in due to the weight of the external noise Hogan for 5 + 23 5 + 23 to the crows for 8 + 13 8 to GC for May And go fish for what we do with 13.
  9. I would not be surprised if free backflip.
  10. I would say that we would have had 5+23 lined up to go to the crows for 8 + 14 thus getting our two first round picks. Freo are cooked.
  11. Did 9 news perth reveal who the other club the manager spoke to was??
  12. If Freo do a trade with adelaide for 5 + something for Pick 13 and 16, Freo trades us pick 6 and 13 for Hogan, We trade GC pick 13 and 2018 FR pick for May and Pick 19 We then trade pick 6 and 19 plus steak knives to Port Adelaide for pick 10 and 11 All parties would have to agree to it but could be a way to work around the deadlock in picks. Thoughts?
  13. I think he’d be a great get. Young and raw but he’s quick and has good skills and workrate and would be a huge upgrade on Garlett!
  14. Have you got any info on who we'd go after if we traded hogan and got may... would we take our other pick to the draft or go after someone else? Is Gaff a chance? And what is the inside mid mail? Cheers!
  15. Tall athletic former pick 6? From a few years ago that has signalled his intentions to come home to vic. Regarded as highly skilled outside mid with a bit of height on him, just hasn’t found his go at the GC (no one has). Could be interesting to see how he goes and could compliment us.
  16. This is my favourite one though, not wanting to trade their first rounder because they want to add a star midfielder...in Hutchings ? "Correct Walba we need a capable midfield to service quality forwards. Our pick 4 for Hutchings."
  17. Excuse my ignorance, but why wouldn't we trade next year's first round pick for May? Would likely be 14-18 which seems a good price to pay for him. Then leaves us with 2 x top 10 picks in this years superdraft, one of which we can trade for a quality outside mid e.g. someone like shiel and we can take a top 5 pick in the draft which means that we fulfil the AFL's 2 first round picks in 4 years requirements.
  18. Agree LH, who doesn’t love a good riddle in the offseason ?
  19. I’m a physio and this worries me immensely. The latarjet procedure is not one to take lightly and can involve multiple setbacks during recovery...and he’s having them on both shoulders. The procedure will have to be a couple of weeks apart so that he can start to regain some minimal function in one shoulder before operating on the next. Hate to say it but it won’t surprise me if clarry doesn’t get much of a preseason. Estimates of early jan are touch and go for me.
