Why did Casey radio stop broadcasting Scorps games? They did last week so maybe they're limited to Sunday games only, don't know. Is it because of the channel 7 contract? You know the one where they have the rights to games that they don't broadcast.

The thing about all of this that really annoys me is there doesn't appear to be a massive amount of focus on how bad they're going. It's almost as if this was expected at some point. Sure, it definitely was expected, but not until players like Pav and Sandi had pulled the pin. The Freo window was well and truly open, right up until the first bounce for 2016. I don't know your calculations for that figure, but I believe you 100% from what I'm seeing week to week. When you put it like that it's pretty clear how important the dude has been for us. I'm not sure who's responsible for the hiring of Plapp at Casey, but he's also seriously impressed me from the little I've seen/heard of him. Listening last week via Casey radio, he gave the team a quite deliberate kick in the pants for a 3rd quarter effort he didn't like, despite the team being up a squillion points to nothing. He was measured, calm, deliberate but very effective. I doubt any player left the huddle thinking a cruisy last quarter was an option. It was very Roosy TBH. It wouldn't surprise me if he ended up on the MFC coaching panel in the near future.

I was trying to come up with a method of doing just that, as you posted. Best I can think of is allocating each goal a category in the initial weekly poll, team/individual (perhaps even both). That way the weekly winning goals can be tracked easily by category and we can have individual 'final' polls at the end of the year. The overall goal of the year will be chosen from the two category winners, so that means 3 final polls - team, individual, and overall. Thoughts?

How hard would it be to put together a Demonland goal of the year award? Each week all the goals go into a poll to be voted on and at the end of the year they all go together for posters to decide the best of the year. Will need a few retrospective polls for this year obviously, but is there any merit in doing something like that?

I agree with this. Salem has been underwhelming so far this year. It would be better for him to be made to earn a recall. Michie was ok, and I'm confident he'll improve for the run. We may need another tall though. Dunny was ok today, might get another chance but who comes out? Not sure.

He's definitely introduced himself nicely. Hopefully he works on his full pace bouncing as I think he nearly soiled himself on one of his gallops when he realised he needed a bounce, and must've had flashbacks to the previous weeks fumble. Not too worried about his kicking because runs like those give defenders almost no chance if your forwards work hard enough. He'll be very important for us going forward.

I'm amazed after yesterday's game that Petracca has come into favourite for the Rising Star, rather than Clarry. Don't get me wrong, Petracca was very good, but Oliver was simply unstoppable! If he keeps it up the award is his.

He's absolutely correct. Workcover should have destroyed that football club for what it's done, and had key figures under massive charges. Players getting off however is not an option.

Yeah saw that, one of the worst free kicks ever paid. At no time did he have possession, in fact it should have been holding the ball the other way if anything. However, Hawkins did look bloody ridiculous, regardless how shocked he must've been. Perhaps they're all being trained by Scott on facial expressions.
