  1. I'm hoping we can get Vanders back to his best in the AFL for next week. There's really only one way to do that, so I'm hoping he gets the Casey coaches box role this weekend.
  2. In the absence of a positive test they can't possibly be drug cheats.
  3. Like I said, IF it's his neck again whatever they did last year hasn't completely resolved it and I'd rather put energy into next years campaign than salvage anything minor from this one. He clearly isn't right and has been off for several weeks now. I'm surprised his neck hasn't snapped completely after single-handedly carrying this club over the last few years.
  4. Wet toast are very gettable this year, and gettable this week. Unfortunately though, our team has far too many takers and not enough getters. No chance! Some may not like it but I think Jones needs to be rested. He doesn't look right, and if it has anything to do with his neck stuff from last year, with finals out of play, perhaps he should sit out the remainder and get himself right for next year. Gives someone a chance to play his role and see if we can develop them into greater options next year. Talking ANB, Oliver, Michie, Brayshaw.
  5. Can't be Slobbo, oh, I guess somebody could read it for him.....
  6. Eight, and that's only because of key injuries on the Gold Coast. Too many of our players have clocked off for the year, and Carlton, a game that people think we can win, play with far more heart, desire and teamwork than we do. Absolutely no chance of beating them.
  7. This was the difference for mine. I'd love to see the ineffective tackle numbers. We let them get disposals away in a tackle all [censored] day, while they wrapped us up and forced incorrect disposal or HTB decisions, or at worst stopped our run. We need to sack the tackling coach and find someone who can do the job.
  8. Why does that umpire keep calling us to play on after a mark? No movement at all.
  9. You should be able to get it online, Plus7. I can't get it overseas as apparently they don't have the international rights. Any idea who has the international rights for VFL????? Ridiculous.
  10. Somebody needs to distract him with a bacon roll
  11. This dude must've almost worked his way onto an AFL list. Somebody mentioned his knock was consistency, but he appears to have just about sorted that out?
  12. I think that was just so we don't need to listen to their coach [censored] and moan all week. Great decision.
  13. Not going to argue, far easier to question my intelligence. Classy. May I remind you which one of us has been unwittingly (or otherwise) drawn into the EFC publicity machine. Yes we can agree though, we want him for nothing but it probably won't work out that way as the EFC, the EFC propaganda machine, the EFC legal team, and undoubtedly the AFL will be working against this outcome. An outcome I feel should have been a given from day one of a guilty finding, where none of the players would be allowed back to that club. Lastly, the EFC was eventually forced to backdown over Hal Hunter, as they'd overstepped the boundaries too far and public perception had turned against them. If they push too hard with Hibberd the same thing will happen and they will lose most of these players. It's a fine line and I don't feel they're smart enough to know when they're done. Interesting times ahead.
  14. Did they use the same referees as the state of origin game? Attempting to balance out the penalties for NSW teams?
  15. For example, the list of banned PEDs they've been injecting their team with? This is all pretty simple. Hibberd is leaving and will most certainly be going to Melbourne. Essendon know this and are unable to stop it. So what happens next? Google Hal Hunter. EFC will make this as difficult as possible for Hibberd to walk unscathed. They will make it as public as possible in an attempt to shame him. They will make Hibberd the enemy so all EFC supporters hate him. Zaharakis doesn't fear his mate is leaving, he damn well knows it. He states there's a contract so a trade is required. Not true in the slightest and Hibberd can, and hopefully will, walk for zilch. This strategy achieves two things. Firstly it saves face for EFC. Secondly, and more importantly, it will discourage any further players from thinking about leaving to rival clubs. The harder it appears to be, the more reluctant each player will become. Something you said earlier regarding EFC having been punished enough. Not a chance pal. All of this goes to the one punishment that should have been handed out but wasn't. None of the banned players should ever be allowed to play for that filthy club ever again. Financial penalties, draft penalties mean nothing to a powerful club that can simply top up, or pay these players extra outside the cap as 'compensation'. The only way to prevent this from happening again is to force the 'tainted' players out of the 'tainted' club.
  16. I like it. At least they know how to mic up reporters at post match press conferences.
  17. How ironic, forced to listen to SEN as Testra have stuffed up the broadcast. SEN giving plugs to Telstra.
  18. And we're short priced favourites. Recipe for disaster if I've seen one.
