His descion to swap Dunn and Frawley was baffling.. I agree with putting Frawley back because he was doing sweet F all but Dunn was actually playing well down back. Why did he not throw Howe forward instead ? Someone who would be a marking target to kick to...on top of this Palmer was tearing Howe a new one..

The more I think about it the more I'm starting to think we could see players like garland, Howe, grimes, watts thrown up for trade. Delisting likes of Nicholson, Mckenzie, Blease etc isn't a clean out and while it's an improvement to the overall list it's not going to translates into changing the on field performance when like I said they didn't even play... Some BIG statements/changes need to be made and while those players I mentioned above will be delisted that's not really making big changes

I go for the falcons, what a day yesterday... Albeit a practise match but lose to the texans after there 15 straight loses, then we get thumped by GWS. Could well be another long season in NFL aswell. I won't have any hair left come the end of the year

I may get shot down for this but I honestly would throw Howe up for trade and see what we can get.. He was deplorable earlier in the year up forward and has shown glimpses down back but he isn't a defender, too often he should punch and he tries to mark.. His disposal is pretty average and is one of the main offenders turning the ball over in the back half. Either move him forward next year or try and get something for him because he ain't cutting it down back

Jack viney ain't too blame for yesterday or our recent form. He has been dissapointing the 2nd half of the year but I think the blowtorch should well and truly be on blokes like, Howe, garland, jamar, grimes, watts, Dawes, frawley(who cares tho his gone)

In all seriousness, where do we go from here ? I'm at a loss to what happens now. All the improvements we have made this year went out the window yesterday. It defies logic that we could not only lose to a side who's been in existence for 3 years missing Cameron, Whitfield, scully and then throw in there 2 captains (also there best defender & midfielder) along with there 2nd best forward missing after half time and Adam treolar playing injured but lose by 11 goals and only kick 3 ourselves!! If we can only kick 3 goals against the giants who have conceded the most points against this year then were stuffed. Why would any player such as malceski want to come play for melbourne now ? We won't be able to attract anyone. Even in the darkest of dark days of 2012 we managed to knock the giants off by 10+ goals (yes they were young then but with what they had out there yesterday they'd be similar) The sad reality is we call for a mass clean out at season end, the players heads we want gone in Mckenzie, blease, strauss, tapscott, Nicholson.. I didn't see them running around pretending to play football at the G yesterday.. I seriously don't know what's wrong with those players out there yesterday, they must be me mentally F'd. What happens in 2 years time when roos leaves ? This obviously isn't going to be fixed in 2 years. I really don't know what to make of this club... If we weren't called Melbourne and the fact the AFL couldn't have a comp without a "melbourne" side we'd be on the next spirit of Tasmania out of here because this club can't survive the way it is going. Also the AFL will obviously never give out a PP because if there's one side that needs it it's us. They have GWS & GC all these top picks to make sure they were competitive. I'd say we have an argument that we need a compromised draft like they got and have atleast 3-4 top 10 picks. We have been so bad for so long and you'd think after 8 years the last thing in the world that would happen is us losing to a half fit not at full strength GWS side at the MCG. God help us

How the [censored] are people putting Howe in there votes ? He was comprehensively beaten by Palmer. Had 4 goals kicked on him, turned the ball over and put in some terrible tackling efforts in. I thought his performance was like the rest of them PATHETIC

We got rolled by a side that were missing there best forward to start with aswell as Whitfield & scully. Add no davis, ward, Patton after half time.. What a disgrace, to kick 3 goals against the worst defensive side in the comp is a joke. I'm so close to been done with this club it isn't funny... I really don't know where we go from here, I hold fears for this football club. If GWS trade for the #1 pick and we don't even get petracca from this il be furious

Yep another great descion by neeld to trade him.. He always showed promise, I'm not suprised his shown this form. Would be a lot better on the list then fitzy & spencer. Having said that I think he relishes the #1 ruck spot and rucking alone. So not sure how he'd go playing the Pedersen role as forward- part time ruck. But gee I wish he was still on the list.

Think jones will win in just on consistency.. Tyson has had some standout games though, his had a few 25+ touches & goals to go with it. Dunns second half of the season hasn't been as good as his first 10-12 rounds.. Jetta will be an interesting one, came in at round 5 and missed another game but has been super consistent and done some big jobs. I was listening to SEN the other night.. Dermie & the ox were talking about playing lists and players to get you to a flag. They said when you look at players when making a decsion on there future and people say "will he be part of the next premiership side ?" The answer is no but you need the player/s to be there now for the journey, there part of the development and they are best option for now. I look at Bail, M.Jones, Riley, Pedersen, Clisby, Terlich as players that fit that category. If we're going to win a flag these players can't be apart of it, but they can be apart of the now for we have no better options

People need to get off Toumpas' case.. The kid had both hips operated on and then was thrown to the wolves in his first year when he should have spent a year at casey and playing a few senior games if form warranted it just like Salem this year. In the games he played this year he was far from disgraceful.. He obviously was sent back to casey to work on areas of his game that needed improvement which should have been ironed out last year, if not for the appendicitis he probably would be back in the side atm. The kid will be a good footballer and most importantly can kick the ball... Write him off at your peril becauseim backing him in to be a very good footballer for this club

He has been really poor the past month, no one can question his pressure... Yes the delivery is terrible. But I made a thread after the dogs game Dawes doesn't do himself any favours. He just stands there puts his hand in the air and says put it on my head! A lot of the reason why we stuff around with the ball is because no'one is leading up at the kicker. Dawes is at his best when he leads up and can take it on his chest. I just think his that low on confidence he doesn't want/demand the footy This was my take on him following the bulldogs game 2nd time around : Any chance this bloke can get in front. Week after week he is caught behind, it drives me insane. The best games his played is when he is working hard and been hit up on the lead . He isn't a very good contested mark and time after time his caught behind his opponent or trying to wrestle them. When we have the ball around the centre line he just stands there and points to the air to sit it on his head... Chris your not that good in the air or one on one, get on your bike and lead to the kicker and provide an option to players coming forward

A forgotten man is mitch clisby... His form at casey has been pretty solid this year, did miss a large chunk of footy in the middle of the year but has been in good form since he came back and thought he could have got a run in grimes' spot on the weekend

There needs to be a serious clean out at years end.. Mckenzie- gone Blease- gone Strauss- gone Nicholson- gone Evans - gone I wouldn't be surprised if these guys aren't gone too : Terlich, Tapscott, Fitzpatrick, Bail(although he has played every game this yr)

Anyone know what matt sucklings contract situation is ? Is the best kick in the comp... Wouldn't be against throwing him a 4 year deal at around $400k.. Would have to be a significant pay rise on his current wage and we'd be paying overs but I don't care, we need good ball users. Obviously we'd have to trade for him so makes it hard.
