What's everyones plans for Monday ? I was going to call in sick n take the day off work but don't think I can... Avoiding the the scores until 5:30pm Monday might be a bit of a challenge!

I'm going with Pats 24 - Seattle 17

I agree... I was looking forward to watching a bit of it and after the first 5 minutes I'd seen enough. The way they talk it up and advertise it, I thought "gee its pretty good they take it so serious" it really is a training drill.. I understand why they don't tackle and rush the QB as much but it really was average from the little bit I saw... Guess it's a good thing why the AFL doesn't do it anymore

I could listen to Ray Lewis all day... He just got stuck right into the NFL and the patriots

The only ting Spencer has shown in his 29 games is that his no good. He had a chance at the start of last year to nail down the #1 ruck spot and he got his assed handed to him by Mumford and did little in the other games. He is there for insurance... Gawn is the obvious successor to jamar, but with his injury problems we can't soley rely on him. Also missing on Jack Hannath last year hurts.. He would have been perfect, I wokldnt stress too much about the ruck situation theres plenty of mature ages out there running around who have come through the system and performed well

I just watched the highlights holy [censored] there was some awesome plays... If only I could have watched it live!

woweee... absolutely spewing I missed that game. I still don't agree with the OT & the coin toss, too much is placed on a flip of the coin... surely theres a better way to decide it.

I have a feeling atlanta wasn't overly keen on Rex, if they wanted him I reckon they would have signed him at their first interview.. I reckon Dan Quinn's been there man all along. Personally I agree that Rex would have been a perfect fit for atlanta with an established QB in matt Ryan. IIt'll be interesting to see what the bills do on the offense side of things... Hoyer does seem like he could be a good fit. Rex has gone from one QB problem to another so Goodluck to him

Talking point: the unevenness of the competition
JV7 replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
The thing with the NFL is with the divisions of 4 teams, if you improve enough in your division you can easily go past the 3 other sides in the division and qualify for the playoffs, once your in the playoffs anything can happen. I always thought the divisional concept was stupid, only playing some sides once in a few years but it does create an even competition and a chance for every side to compete. For melbourne to improve enough to make the finals we must improve and jump 9 sides in the NFL like I said if your improvement is only minimal but it's enough to win your division and make the playoffs then it's a relatively successful year -
From all reports atlanta was Ryan's preference but for whatever reason they took there time and were happy to let him slip to the bills.. I'd be all for Quinn but reports suggest he might be New York bound.. The other is todd bowels from Arizona but his also front runner for the jets job, maybe whoever doesnt get that job will get the Atalanta one. Why can't there be a roos type saviour out there for me

They don't muck around in Denver... 4 divisional titles in 4 years and if reports of Peyton's injuries are correct they had a fair excuse, interesting to see if my side goes after fox.. Spewing they dragged there feet and missed out on Rex Ryan, reckon he could have fixed our D

Seattle 27 - Packers 24 Patriots 30 - Colts 24

Btw anyone think peyton might be done ?

Ive seen it a couple of times.. He can make the case that he was reaching for the endzone but the right call was made I reckon, Bryant should have just completed the pass and set up 1st & goal. Dallas got the rub of the green last week

[censored] that was a good play... Edelman throws for the TD

If only the regular season had some Sunday morning games.. Love waking up a reasonable time on a non working day to watch a game!

Talking Point: Improvement - how far can we go in 2015?
JV7 replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'm heading into the season with no great expectations... I think 8 wins shohld be the aim and been comptetive as we were last year. If our first half of th season last year is what out whole season is this year I'll be happy. Having said that we turn those close loses to port twice, doggies twice and then throw in a couple of improved efforts against the likes of brisbane and GWS then there's no reason we couldn't won 10 games.. The side had to learn how to play football to an AFL standard last year, most players on our list didnt know what was required and how to work hard both ways. I put our late season poor form down to players tiring. Another pre season under roos (which from all reports has stepped up) this side knows what to expect and how to deliver it. -
I agree with most top 5s but I think Garland would be in mine.. With frawley gone he really has to step up as the senior player down there. He was fairly average last season coming off a very good one. We need his 2013 form back to hell frost & McDonald down there

Baltimore 17 - Patriots 37 Seahawks 23 - Panthers 13 Cowboys 20 - Packers 34 Broncos 30 - Colts 16

Yeah the pick up flag on the pass interference turned the game, I reckon they got it wrong... Demarcus Lawrence would have been breathing a sigh of relief when he recovered that fumble on the last play.. Don't know why he didn't fall on that fumble he got n lost at around the 2:30 minute mark, the ball game would have been over than, luckily he got redemption!!

Steelers 27 - Baltimore 17 Carolina 20 - Arizona 10 Indianaoplis 30 - Cincinatti 24 Dallas 34 - Detroit 24

Yeah a fit Rodgers will be the key for GB.. GB was my pick for the SB most of the season but seattle have come good at the right time of year! Well its back into taking a closer look at the dees in the new year, I must say the NFL is good to get you from one AFL season to the other, though Ive found myself enjoying the NFL just as much as the AFL! Btw I like the sound of the tipping comp ideas!

Well this year was the first year I've taken a proper interest and watched a lot of games and worked out how it all works, still some things don't make sense to me haha. It was a fustrating year for the Falcons and ended in a fitting way I guess (i had a feeling we'd lose) I'm assuming this time tomorrow we'll be searching for a new coach, cutting a lot of dead wood from the roster and looking to the draft (sounds all too familiar!) congrats dappa on the win, coming into it I thought it seemed easy, defintly the worlds hardest tipping comp. To macca thanks for keeping tabs on the tipping comp! Now to sit back and watch the playoffs stress free!

I wish this game wasn't on 7mate... What a [censored] weak effort from the Falcons

Fair effort by your boys pantaloons
