  1. OUT: Blease- cya buddy you got your chance and did sweet F all.. Mckenzie- dumb footballer, even worse kick. Terlich- when he gets 25 touches you know a 3rd of them will be useless/turn overs IN: Cross - self explanatory Michie- the blokes earnt another crack, see what his got Strauss- I'm not a fan but his put a couple of good games at casey together. It's now or never, roos has to give him a chance to prove his should remain on the list. Take terlichs spot at least he is a reasonable distributor of the ball
  2. Which part of dunns game yesterday was consistent to his form most of the year ? I thought he was pathetic yesterday. Not sure if he played on Mcstay or Close because there both unknowns to me but he had one of them and either way he was soundly beaten by a kid who's played a handful of game... Agree with previous posts on bernie, he was lazy yesterday. His foot skills were appalling . Garland is a shadow of his former self. He did miss majoritity of the pre season so I'm hoping it's that. Jamar was beaten by a former club reject I hope watts is carrying some form of injury Sam Blease may aswell walk now.. Dumb, uses his pace to run into trouble rather than out of it and never uses it to run down/tackle anyone. Can't kick Thank Christ the NFL starts this weekend.
  3. He will not be a good footballer until his realises his limitations, why he runs behind players looking for the handball to make the play, YOU CANT KICK FOR [censored] MATE!!! You can't even bounce or handball the ball properly. He is a good defender but until he realises he isn't nick malceski he will just be a turn over king. Why he chooses to try and baulk a player in the defensive 50 is beyond me. And what staggers me more is players who actually give him the ball when they have a free kick/mark, just stupid.
  4. Good mail Jesse hogan was out last night well and truly enjoying himself.. Didn't look like a bloke doing everything to get the body in order for a game this year
  5. Not in a million years would jonesy leave... Garland & Howe maybe
  6. I was thinking today, isn't it funny.. If Brent moloney was never at melbourne I reckon we'd be talking him up as an experiences bigger body midfielder to help us out for a couple of years, the fact he was basically traded/let go means he'd never return.. I'm not advocating to get him but does anyone else think if he wasn't a former melbourne player we would be saying to get him ?
  7. Never doubt his commitment to the club.. 2 time premiership player, speak for itself. Wasn't the best signing in regards to on field, god knows why we didn't just pick him up in the PSD.. But only those inside the club would know he's true value and hopefully his passed on some great knowledge to the young blokes
  8. I have read that he needs to sign a 4 year deal at a minimum of $600k for us to get band one compo
  9. I can only find 8 games where we lead in the last.. Rnd 4 Carlton - won Rnd 7 adelaide - won Rnd 8 bulldogs - lost Rnd 9 Richmond- won Rnd 11 Port - lost Rnd 13 essendon- won Rnd 15 bulldogs- lost Rnd 18 port- lost So we are 8 games 4 wins & 4 losses which drops us a couple of spots & equal with the dogs ?
  10. Well according to a AFL.com article geary is close to inking a new deal at the saints
  11. His a pretty good small rebounding defender, not sure his kicking skills are elite or not which would be one of the main reasons we'd try and get him. His just turned 26 so has plenty of time. I know the cats are interested aswell and as a free agent coming from a bottom side he might want to join a proven successful club
  12. His posted a couple of photos about him doing some running around his former junior club oval... Obviously more to do with keeping himself in shape rather then training for footy... I've given up hope of a Mitch return. We can only live in hope he does come back, interesting his coming back to melbourne though
  13. Doms probably has had more stand out games but Vince has been more consistent. They both have been fantastic additions to the side. Dom would be ahead in B & F voting i think just on the fact his had more higher voting games
  14. People saying his knee could blow out at any time... Well we gave up pick 12 for a bloke who played a handful of games for us, you never know what is around the corner, no point living in fear of hypotheticals.. His exactly the type of player we need and if he was interested in coming to us then we should be all for it
  15. I'm not concerned one little bit about our scoring. That it was comes last, most afl coaches (I've heard bomber on AFL 360) say that you must learn to defend before you can attack and attack is the last piece to the puzzle... Look at north melbourne what's the point in scoring if you can't defend well, that's why there such an up & down side because sides can score easily against them and once they have a run on its hard to stop. As roos said ion FC last night, they've just started to introduce ball movement going forward the last 2 weeks. You can't do what neeld did and come in and say "when we have the ball do this and we don't have it do this" it confuses the players. Best way to teach is the fundamental of the modern game is defending and once they have grasped that concept you can move onto bringing in the attacking part of the game.
  16. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/if-youre-a-melbourne-supporter-look-away-now-demons-draft-bungles-aplenty/story-fni5f91a-1226881324821 How embarrassing this article is now
  17. I'd be happy if we offered him 5 years at $450k-500k .. I think he is very valuable to us up forward, his constant leading up the ground providing a target coming out of the back half makes us a much better side. People who say his not playing for the team atm, just watch him and how hard he works up the ground. If he didn't give a stuff he wouldn't be putting in the hard yards, unless his trying to play well to bump up his value. I really don't know what he's gonna do, earlier in the year I thought he was staying, mid year he was gone and now I'm swaying back to staying... Who knows I also have a mate who works for the club. Wouldn't think he would know the ins and outs but he said a few weeks ago it was 50/50, he loves the club but at 26-27 can he go somewhere else and play finals and that's what his weighing up
  18. Well thankfully I got it wrong.. MRP didn't even assess it. Vince was assessed but not forceful enough to constitute a penalty
  19. Yep I saw it but only the once.. A lot will depend where he got him wether it be chest or face, but if it's the latter I think he'll miss the Brisbane game unfortunately
  20. Wouldn't think so... I'm more concerned by jones punch to the face on cassisi, happened in the last qrt just at the top of screen behind play. Think our skipper will be given a holiday
  21. Had to go for a run to let of some steam... Given the tragedy that occurred only a few days ago, losing a game of football doesn't even compare... We must look at the bigger picture for this football club, we have taken it up to port twice this year and shown glimpses against other top sides. We just as roos says every week, learn how to play 120 minutes of football... A half last week against the cats, 1 & a half qrts against the dogs, a half against essendon, 20 minutes today. This side will learn how to play a full 4 qrts. Loses like this will reiterate that message.. If we won today maybe they don't realise you cant go to sleep for 20 minutes and still win a game of football. 6 losses under 20 points, we are on the right track. Give us another 12 months and those close losses turn to wins and were a side challenging for the 8
  22. The umpires were terrible BUT we were infront with 3:30 on the clock.. Jones choosing to selfishly take the advantage and run into a wall of port players, Dawes kicking the ball back into CHF when the kick needed to be long down the line.. Grimes' kick on the full was terrible, BUT we should have never been in the situation in the first place. Also anyone see jones give cassisis a little punch to the face in the last in the forward 50, suspect he'll be missing the Brisbane game
  23. The sad thing is I was not even remotely surprised that grimes kick went on the full... I've had it with him, he can't kick for [censored]! Dawes doesn't get off Scot free... His kick with 3 minutes that resulted in the rebounding shulz goal was disgraceful, it had to go long down the line in not back into CHF.. Bloody filthy with this lose
  24. Still have to have the intent to work hard and his to smother intercepts had nothing to do with been a loose man
