  1. Great result.
  2. I love this time of year
  3. How will you measure this irreparable damage? The number of players that leave us because of this treatment? The number of supporters who choose to not applaud Scully when he is racking up the possessions next year? The number of supporters who refuse to attend finals when we are back playing them in two years time. I would say our clubs reputation has grown - the so called ruthless tag that ND bandied around for years is actually now starting to apply.
  4. 6. Bate Daylight 5. Sylvia 4. Jones 3. Valenti 2. McDonald 1. Petterd
  5. People seem to not consider the fact that we "were 50 points down at half time". Pretty sure we were trying in teh first half as well.
  6. If you mean by similar be the bald guy on a half forward flank then yes. If you mean play the same forward role as Chapman does then no.
  7. Hopefully you are the recruiting manager at one of the 15 other clubs as all Dunn did yesterday was create some trade value. Is not a best 22 player.
  8. Agreed Rhino. Neither of them showed me anything yesterday to think they will be part of our premiership tilt or where there likely improvement will come from. Both give their all and dont shirk an issue but have big queries for mine over their flexibility (both), disposal (Valenti) and decision making (Cheney). They will be nothing more than depth and for mine you do not retain players at our stage of list management for depth. I would be delisting both of them at end of year.
  9. Absolutely. Is this a rhetorical question. We did everything we could to lose today and still nearly won. To me that shows that our future may be alot brighter alot sooner than we think.
  10. If we are actually trying to win interchange should be B.Moloney, N.Jetta, C.Morton, C.Sylvia. Bench should be J.Spencer, M.Whelan, S.Valenti, N.Jetta, I would not be suprised if there are some late changes
  11. To say Brisbane would not take pick 2 or 3 for an injury prone unproven developing ruckman is ludicrous. To say that we should consider doing it is completely beyond comprehension. Our midfield is atrocious and although we have alot of potential midfield options they are nothing more than that potential. If Leunberger is out of contract that is one thing but if not I would leave him be.
  12. THE GREATEST DEES SIDE EVER MELBOURNE v SYDNEY SWANS Melbourne B: Lynden Dunn, Matthew Warnock, Matthew Whelan HB: Brent Moloney, Jared Rivers, Cameron Bruce C: Clint Bartram, James McDonald, Aaron Davey HF: Jamie Bennell, Michael Newton, Cale Morton F: Brad Miller, Matthew Bate, Liam Jurrah Foll: Stefan Martin, Ricky Petterd, Nathan Jones I/C: Paul Johnson, Kyle Cheney, Jordie McKenzie, Shane Valenti Emg: Rohan Bail, Jake Spencer, Simon Buckley In: Cheney, P. 13. I am sure you forgot to insert the emoticon to show you are not serious about us taking a 28 year old plodding midfielder?
  14. 6. Moloney 5. Bennell 4. Bartram 3. Petterd 2. Green 1. Bate
  15. 3. Tingay - agree with TDs comment if he and the OX had not had injuries I may have seen a premiership cup by now. 2. Viney 1. Grimes (just pre-empting greatness)
  16. My understanding is that the kid can't do that! What is your source?
  17. Out Sylvia (suspended), Morton (season has taken its toll on him physically and mentally) In Dunn (obvious Syvlia replacement), Bell (not much else and 2 BOGs says enough) I am not a fan of Jetta but the weekend was the first time his performance made me think he could be a useful player. Definitely deserves another game.
  18. Are we talking about the same Rivers who turned the ball over 4 times in 5 minutes in the last qtr. Did Rivers play on Kennedy in the second half?
  19. 6 - Jamar 5 - Warnock 4 - Grimes 3 - Mclean 2 - Bruce 1 - Robertson
  20. Yes if this role does not require Dunn to mark above his head or make any body contact then absolutely.
  21. 6 Sylvia 5 Frawley 4 Grimes 3 Davey 2 Bruce 1 Martin (only because a 6th was needed)
  22. Its hard to kick goals when the ball is rarely inside 50m and when it is 50% of the time poorly delivered. I know we are last in inside 50s but would be keen know where we sit on score conversion once inside 50m? Our midfield is a much bigger issue than our forwardline. Once we fix that we can see what the forward deficiencies may be.
  23. Last time I checked Maric was an opportunist forward not a tagger/small backmen. Would have liked to have seen Maric but Jetta has been kicking goals and deserves his chance. With that many outs and Bell getting ommitted and not even an emergency. I would say thats nearly the last we have seen of him. Unless some list management is required.....
  24. I only saw the second half but they were 3 goals down and had Lecras playing on the ball and Selwood deep forward.....................
  25. Can someone please put a counter on the site so we can count how many Nik Nat vs Watts threads are created in the next 5 years.
