5 years ago i would say yes but the way the game is changing i do think the next few years will start producing some 100 goal a season full forwards

The reason for me saying that is the current way Geelong and Hawthorn play

Out of the 3 you mention i would only consider LLoyd a specialist full forward

I was very lucky to see Peck , Blethyn , Wade , Mckenna and Hudson and beyond and some of the best players to play the position

The rest adapted and some shone but were not true full forwards

To name 4 of best of that mould would be Jezza , Quinlan , Templeton and Ablett

You also found some players ended their career in that position as it didnt require the engine required elsewhere on the ground

Some of reason they had to adapt is simply because there was nobody else to fill the position and thats what i believe has been a problem at Melbourne for years

Neitz and Lyon are also in that mould

Most people consider the centre half forward position the hardest on the ground and i wont disagree with that but to me its the most important

This is where both Neitz or Lyon should have played ALL the time as i consider having your best and most effective player one kick from the centre is miles better than being 2 kicks away like a full forward is

But its just my opinion

Thankfully, they have been replaced by players like Buddy Franklin.

Brisbane is probably the only club that plays with a traditional Centre Half Forward and Full Forward. And they are a joy to watch.

Somone as good as Franklin is a waste at any other position but centre half forward

Franklin reminds me of Royce Hart but only better and that means trouble for anyone who plays the Hawks

Barring injuries i predict 300 games , a brownlow and a premiership before he retires

Hart came to the Tigers when they started a successful run of premierships and that centre line of bourke barrot and clay was very useful

they got rid of barrot and got ian stewart who i considered the best centreman i have seen play

Another Hawks era is about to begin me thinks
