  1. Ease up. The guy is out of form and low on confidence. Last year he showed good form and we were praising him. There are no other replacements worthy yet.
  2. Ah yes, lets win less than 5 games, lose $1-1.5 mill and face the prospect of having no club in 3 years. Great plan...
  3. Thats crazy. Write off the season and lose a cool million doing it? You guys are so focussed on a high draft pick bringing about immediate success on and off the field, whether thats Natanui or not. He may be marketable, he may bring supporters back to the club, but we will go backwards in doing so. Win as many as we can and restore the pride in the jumper. We have asked for that for so long haven't we?
  4. Understand that to get Natanui, the club is going to have be pretty ordinary from here on in -> losing at least 12 of the next 15 games. Sponsors are not going to give a rats ass about youngsters due to play in Sandy for a while, or the amount of weight the current youngsters are putting on in the off season, or where this bottom ranked team is based. They cannot sell that. We may be happy with it, but they couldn't care less. While Natanui will be marketable, do you think it would gain back the support we lost due to finishing so low? Let alone the financial loss we make in the year as a result?
  5. Deanox is absolutely right and this has been the problem moving forward in the previous games. Watching the game replay, Bailey at half time said the side has been too hesitant to run and kick quickly. The timing was excellent in the second half as the ball was coming in quicker to man on man situations or forwards on deep leads.
  6. Club is losing corporate support very quickly due to the onfield "saleability" of the team. Today went a long way in getting them to think twice. Performances from the team like that 2nd half as well as the rise of marketable players such as Wonna will promote interest back in (as well as their $s). While a great marketable player like Natanui may address this down the track, the club is losing corporate dollars due to their current performances now. Short/medium term off-field needs addressing before long-term onfield at the moment. My opinion only.
  7. Oh you aint doin it right.... Still, the old gal seemed full to the brim even though there was only 20k there. Imagine the noise if we could have had 50k?
  8. How about, win 12 out of the next 15, cementing 6th and win through to at least a semifinal in Neita's last year. Spoon is off-field suicide for this club.
  9. For most of the game, Miller played deeper than he usually does. He was starting leads just forward of the goalsquare, rather than closer to CHF. This is where he belongs, but often clashes with the leads of Robbo and Neitz. Dare I say it, maybe Neita needs to move away from FF as our deep forward line has been functioning better without? Thoughts?
  10. Of all the crappy threads I've read from misinformed and deluded supporters this is the worst.
  11. What a crock. Players are lacking confidence. This makes them unsure, tentative and prone to missing targets. Nothing to do with coach or game plan.
  12. Ah yes, we DEMAND commitment, loyalty and integrity from our players. Yet we cannot demand the same from our supporters?
  13. Thankfully, they have been replaced by players like Buddy Franklin.
  14. Worst post this week. Bar none.
  15. Its always the case that a player not living up to potential goes to a 2nd or 3rd club and something clicks and they develop themselves into a good footballer. It gives them the kick up the backside that they needed to make them realise they need to get on with it. It is not something against the MFC, just every club has the same phenomenon. Even Trapper has played 2 good halves out of 8 for the Lions - up from his average with the Dees.
