Theres a rumour Chad Cournes wants to come to melbourne and Warnock is locked to that discussion. Me thinks a good swap but risky if Warnock comes good.

Considering Chad Cornes is one of the most effective players in the game i would seriously question your source

Cornes versus Warnock is a no brainer IMO

Deluded indeed. This misconception about Green absolutely astonishes me. He's laid 337 career tackles, but you're right... he NEVER gets physical!

That's two a game...

Just don't rest your case on that.

So I can't rest my case on 337 examples of Brad Green being physical, when the opposing argument is that he NEVER has!

What's wrong with you?

I do think that there are several players going to retire at the seasons end and a few in the category of maybe but i see a bigger problem

developing players under the current sandy / melbourne scenario is a compromise i dont like

Sandy has a different agenda than Melbourne and i dont think this helps either side

I dont know about you guys but i sure want to see a stand alone Melbourne reserves side

Thats got to be better in long run surely

I thought Green was fantastic in the forward line on Saturday. Crashed packs and had forward line pressure. Id have him up as captian in the short term. The calling of him to be traded is astounding. Alot of you need to wake up. To say his soft is stupid and pathetic.

Retire:- Neitz / Yze / Holland / White / Robbo.

One more year if willing - Junior / Whelan.

Trade Bait:- Brent Moloney / Daniel Bell

Trade:- Green(pick 17 - 27), CJ(3rd rnd), Wheatley(3rd rnd), or players. ( some young players can't get a run with teams like the Cats).

Delist:- Warnock - if he doesn't start staring in a hurry - goodbye!

Thats pretty much 6 definate places to fill + some possibilities.

I couldn't give a [censored] about Greens stats, but if he played his career like he just played against the blues on sunday then we wouldn't be having this dialogue. Monkey see - Monkey doo.

I think Junior and Whelan are gone at year end. Robbo has another year on his contract.

Moloney is as much bait as 7 day old lamb chop in the sun. Who would trade for his groins and game?

CJ and Wheatley either cant crack or are borderline in the bottom AFL side. There is no trade value there.

We will be lucky to get one trade away and it may involve a player who some might put in your best 5 or 6.

Weetra, Bode and CJ will be delisted.

I got 10 draft spots before you look at trades. Unless he does something spectacular I dont see Valenti being elevated.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    TRAINING: Wednesday 11th December 2024

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

Haven’t laid eyes on Fritsch or AMW yet. Fritsch sighted. One unknown mature standing with Goody. Noticing Nathan Bassett much m

Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

A couple of intrepid Demonland Trackwatchers headed down to Gosch's Paddock for the midweek Preseason Training Session to bring you the following observations. Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
