Firstly, we will win today and over 40,000 will attend, but that is up to all supporters getting to the game, don't wait for the replay get to the MCG you won't be disappointed. The winning part I have confidence in our players that we can beat the dogs.

Secondly, We have secured a top line CEO that has the contacts to increase our sponsership and improve the clubs adminstration. This was an amazing get by our Board.

Thirdly, Chris Connelly amazing we can get this past player back to the club he was a good coach a fremantle and we have him as our Football Manager, already he has addressed our training base problem, another great win for the club.

Next, today look over to the new home of the MFC, it is being built, every week we go to the MCG take a look and get excited about our new home.

There is more our debt has been dramatically reduced, once the balance of 2.7mil can be wiped out we can start making some big profit numbers.

Ex players are starting to show more interest in the club, the club is really starting to unite, still a bit away but it is happening.

The only negative is the supporters, the club can't make supporters attend games and buy memberships that is upto us. We can make this club a great club again by getting to games even if we are losing. The club is putting things in place on their side to rectify some long stanging problems it is time for us the supporters to stand up and be counted.

like what u r saying but i worry about the crowd mate...40000?? in the rain?

I`ll be there regardless of the weather! No excuses for any real supporters today unless you are getting married or going to a funeral. It`s been a bloodbath in the media this week and the players know it. It`s all very good for us supporters to say we want to see some heart on the field and rightly so , but our supporters have been heartless far longer than the players who displayed that insipid trash last week. Get out there and show some spine people. Our club`s future relies as much on us supporters as our players on field actions. Respect!

That is a very good post dr.

I've been waiting for Gardner to show some leadership over the last few days. Sure, he went on Footy Classified a couple of weeks back and his style is relaxed, but there's not enough passion emanating from him, imo. We're presently being hit from pillar to post, yet I've heard nothing from the club this week. I want someone at our club to tell the media to go and get stuffed. Not in so many words, as of course that would be counter productive, but you get my drift. Most of the speculation is media driven as stations like SEN have to have footy as it's spotlight 24 seven. It's our turn to be in the gun. I'm not saying that we don't have some serious concerns, but they are being addressed in the main, and won't be fixed overnight. Patrick Smith stated that Demetriou is concerned by 1 or 2 Melbourne based clubs, but no doubt he was responding to the question "Andrew, are you happy with all the Melbourne based clubs?" "Well, we are concerned by one or two, Patrick". Gee there's suddenly a newsworthy story !

In reality we really have lacked someone at the MFC getting on the front foot and passionately defending this club and where we're heading. The silence has been deafening.

And we've also missed articulate posters like Fan providing their keen insight during a time when derision is coming from within our own supporter base. The club needs switched on supporters on internet forums providing a semblance of sanity. Your voice reaches further than you think.

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
