I think these two players are among the most interesting players on our list atm. Weetra struggled a bit last year due to injury and by the sound of things is having a brilliant pre season while Aussie is already use to playing with men and is already talked about playing NAB cup and follow daveys pathway. They both sound very good players but whats everyones thoughts on these blokes?

Totally agree, very exciting for 2008 and beyond. I particularly like the thought of strong competition for a small FP berth (Yze, Maric, Weetra?), freeing-up Flash to do his thing further up the ground.

If Weetra and Aussie can make a strong impression at the top level it will be a feather in the cap of CC and our Recriiting Dept. - a very late draft pick and a rookie!

Isac has had 2 or 3 mentions so far this pre season...

I'm just taking a stab in the dark but is this a round about way of trying to bring him out of his shell? whats the bet he has all the skills just need to feel more confident in his own boots to really take on the new year?

If memory serves me correctly, I recall Weetra being named at half-back for Sandy on a number of occasions last season. Have never seen him play - hopefully he'll get a run in the NAB cup.

True but it wasn't 4 the Sandy seniors - it was their reserves!

Weetra ended up playing one game for Sandy 1's towards the end of the year when injuries were at a season high for Melbourne and Sandy and he played about 15 minutes and was pretty ordinary. He would have wanted to have done alot from then to now to be anywhere near a game and i don't think coming out of his shell was the problem. It was more the fact that his basic skills (kicking, marking etc.) was pretty poor and he made bad decisions.

take a deep breath, just because there indigenous doesnt necessarily mean there any good
