I'm GOLD....only 4 years away from Platinum.

MFC members email received tonight says everyones renewals would have been received by now!

We are redlegs family (6 in all) and so far got ZIP in the mail! Silly making statements that are clearly incorrect. The Admin better have got the stickers right for 150th!!! have had production problems last 3 years & MUST have been a priority to get right for 2008!!

Total waste of money needing to send out separately or twice!

-No stickers

-Prompted to pay by December (or else you have to pay a fee)

-Card which say x consecutive years membership...will still say x consecutive years in y consecutive years

-A tie instead of scarf even though the general consensus among people ive spoken to would prefer a scarf.

-Useless pen

Petty i know. But its not hard to put together a professional package. its good business.

prompted to pay by december isnt a downside. if you pay every year in november its still a once a year thing. and it is out of the way before xmas. it is a way of trying to get everyone signed on and committed before the dawdle away next year. no worries on that one.

we have had so many problems with the stickers it doesnt surprise me if they have scrapped them. couldnt get them right dont do it again.

i now have three mfc scarfs plus my old old one. i dont need another scarf. but i dont have an mfc tie...

you pay for entry and for voting rights. not stupid trinkets like a pen etc. don't whinge support your club and go to the games.

my apologies. my intention was not to question your support of the mfc. more to question why you support it and why you pay your money. you answered that you support the club because thats what you do - you love the club. same position im in. if so, does the rest of this stuff really have a big influence on whether you spend your money or not? people wont sign up because of the free goodies, they will sign up because of the game entrance etc. last years members got a scarf, they dont need a new one, so a tie isnt a bad idea. a pen could float around the house all year with the mfc name on it. the stickers could be a mistake, it is good seeing red and blue on the cars...i reread my post, the last line was harsh and wasnt meant to be sorry, but the essence of the post still stands.

on the note of stuffed up consecutive membership, i am pretty sure they have stuffed mine up also, but i dont have cards from 10 years ago to prove it...

Finally got my pack Monday, several days after some of my other family members. And despite being a VFL/AFL memebr since the 80s, my membership years on the card is incorrect. I have my membership cards going back to 1994, so i rang the club and told them and they happily changed my years membership and will send a corrected gold card when I've paid, so I'd suggest others with similar problems contact the membership department on the number on the renewal flyer.

I don't like the wording of the flyer either about the 'late service fee', its very negative and oppressive, should be worded more as an incentive not a penalty.

As for the scarves, yes I already have enough scarves, something different like a tie or cap would be much better for a change. And no I dont join up for the trinkets either, but they are a nice addition when you rip open your membership pack.

Veteran Demonland Trackwatchers Kev Martin, Slartibartfast & Demon Wheels were on hand at Gosch's Paddock to kick off the official first training session for the 1st to 4th year players with a few elder statesmen in attendance as well. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Beautiful morning. Joy all round, they look like they want to be there.  21 in the squad. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. The first round draft pick at #13 from twelve months ago the strongly built medium forward has had an impressive introduction to AFL football and is expected to spend more midfield moments as his career progresses.
