Dean Bailey will unleash 4 or 5 Judds next season

With Dean Baileys guidance, I suspect that Petterd, Jones, Sylvia and Bate will all become as good as or better than Judd. Then you can add whoever we get with pick 5.

Dean Bailey is a great player developer, Port wouldnt have made the GF without his efforts.

I'm inclined to agree. I'm particularly looking forward to seeing what he can make of Sylvia. The thing I like about Bailey so far is the impression that I'm getting, that he is not going to become bumchums with all the players, like Daniher was. That is crucial for coaching success.

Phew.. thanks for reminding me!

That player will be colin sylvia.

Sylvia will then escape any charges due to the fact that judd is a [censored] person.

Good to hear from you YM.

Today is about switching back onto the very positive path most of us shared pre-Judd. Great teams don't emanate from one player, they rise from a group with belief.

Dean Bailey has already proved to the club and it's supporters that he is a good communicator. Judd, I think, was obviously moved in a way he didn't expect upon meeting the man and found it a bit harder to cross us of the list than he thought it was going to.

So lets see our list under Bailey, lets see them develop in time. We're out there, stirring players like Judd and Messen into approaching us.

It's time to switch on to our potential. Consider for a moment amongst the sideshow that has been our last fortnight:

JONES, SYLVIA, BATE, NEWTON, DUNN, PETTARD, FRAWLEY and Mc LEAN under Bailey.

C'mon Dee's, switch on.

Good post.

It's hard to think back to when it was first announced Dean Bailey would be coaching us, before all this Judd business began.

But you're right - we have to get excited again about Bailey and about Chris Connolly and, adding to that list above players like Bartram and Rivers, about our current exciting list who will potentially thrive under a new coach and with a good pre-season will be able to compete with the elite, even with Judd and the Filth.

And besides, there's only room for TWO bald heroes at the club.. and that is Dean Bailey and the Jones boy. B)

RIVERS, BARTRAM obvious inclusions destroy, cheers. The fire in my belly has me giddy.

My sentiments apply to the whole list.

Bailey isn't going to put up with TJ like ND has in the past.

Miller may just find the focus he's been missing.

Yze reborn.

Whelan our linch pin.

Carroll our full-stop.

Davey with drive and consistancy.

Mc Donald to realise his full leadership potential.

Frawley, Bode, develop, develop, develop.

Bell has a hard nut mentor to grow from.

Green and Bruce to wake from the slumber and take their place as leaders.

Yze Magic,

Where do you buy those rose coloured glasses?

You must think Dean Bailey is a cross between Paul Roos, Mick Malthouse and Jesus Christ. Let's face it, even those three would be hard pressed to turn any of those players, particularly Sylvia, into half the player that Chris Judd is.

I'm as disappointed as anyone in Judd's decision, but let's not rationalise it with stupidity.

And also, we have pick 4, not 5.

YM, If I was your missus I would be worried, your ability to move on is unbelievable.

You are right though, I think DB will be a great developer of talent and the blokes you have mentioned have bucket loads, add also Newton and Dunn as having plenty of upside.

I am especially interested to see his impact on Sylvia, i always felt he needed closer and harder attention. He's taken some steps in 07 but to be frank he still hasn't lived up to his hype, i think McLean will have a much better year this year one way or another but Sylvia will be one to watch next year.

Sylvia, Sylvia, Sylvia..... Will be our best player. Get him fit, finally put him in midfield, he will bust through packs untouched. Kick long. Run forward and kick goal, he is going to be something very very special.

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w
