Finks 19 Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 You may just want to add CJ to that list. ...i've gone with Brock.
Pates 9,697 Posted November 1, 2005 Author Posted November 1, 2005 Ah thanks i knew i'd forgotten someone! Sorry but i don't know much to edit it, i geuss if someone wants to say CJ then just post him in.
H.B.K 0 Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 i said sylvia as i think tha the has the largest upside, but the player i think will be a smoky is chris johnson. i can actually see him in a similar role to dal santo at the saints
Seekers SEECAMP 0 Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Did anyone see CJ during Sandy's finals campaign last year in part the GF - this kid can play and has has a pretty tough mental resolve - lok for bigger things from him in '06

Not a bad comparrison Ooze God- CJ appears to move similar and from what i've seen his kicking is just as good. If only he turns out half as good as Dal ... ! The 2003 draft certaintly provided the MFC with some good, young talent- #3 Sylvia, #5 McLean and #36 (f/s) Johnson. Very happy with what i've seen so far.
Pates 9,697 Posted November 3, 2005 Author Posted November 3, 2005 Does anyone know what predicted number CJ would've gone at in the draft? Would he be top 10-15?

Anyway I think Sylvia will take the biggest step next year. He has now had a season to get used to the standard of footy and should be ready and know what is required to step up.
Supreme_Demon 4,144 Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 G'day Fellow Demons Supporters! I hope that Colin Sylvia takes the biggest step and because a regular consistent player for the Demons next year and shows us how much talent "The Kid" really has! :D GO COLIN SYLVIA!!! GO DEMONS IN 2006?! From Supreme_Demon
CarnTheDees 52 Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Belly! Will be a star next season. Can't wait for 2006...
DemonWorshipper 304 Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 I've gone with Belly. 1. I love his courage 2. I think that he is ready to take the next step in 06 and possibly move through the midfield.
Yze_Magic 3 Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 I voted for 'the Kid' Sylvia Has all the tools that made Gary Ablett so good Strength, leap, skills, awareness.... About the same height as well I think next year Colin will really turn it on, and will be a powerhouse midfielder also capable of going forward and kickings bags of goals
Cactus 2 Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 i think it will be Sylvia, hopefully he doesnt dislocate another shoulder... i have done it a couple of times myself and it tends to be a reoccuring problem. im sure its different because they dedicate all their time to getting it strong again but i went to they gym for 4 months every 2nd day working on my shoulder and 2nd game back did it again.... i think he will be right though, just a little concern
dazzledavey36 56,447 Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 the kid sylvia for me.. from reports i have heard he is getting bigger faster and stronger at training. i think he is a player who can become a 30 plus possesion and dominate games. go colin!!
Freak 100 Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Sylvia's groin problems are coming back apparently. Very bad news.

I didn't get the impression that they were "coming back" Freak. AT the MIN the message from ND was they were still lingering and had to be managed, I more got the impression that they never completely went away.
Axis of Bob 11,945 Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 He had OP pretty badly, and he played more or less through it during under 18s. That's why last year was the first preseason he's ever had, because even at Bendigo he could do a preseason due to OP. He just needs to keep monitoring his workload and hopefully he will be 100% free of problems eventually.

Jerry Lundergard 420 Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 This poll and thread is a good lesson to us all of how we can overrate our players sometimes.
