TMax 500 Games!!!

Featured Replies

I'm really stoked that both of them are sharing this moment with each other. I know there are some that might feel it would be more special for them to have the moment alone but they have been warriors together and they've both had unique journey's with their own challenges. It somehow feels more fitting for that to be celebrated together.

TMac really should have celebrated this last season but for reasons beyond me he wasn't getting a look by the selection committee, but here he is and he gets to do it with Big Max.

It terms of moments for these guys TMac's obvious one is the winning goal vs West Coast. I didn't give us a hope in hell that night and TMac showed his versatility and ability to take the moment on himself. One of my favourite recent Dees moments.

For Max, where do you start?! But I have to go to him kicking the goal after the siren for us to beat the cats and win the minor premiership. I feel like that gets lost from memories because it was in front of an empty stadium and because a few weeks later Max put in the greatest performance by a ruckman in a final. But thinking about that goal after the siren, i can't don't think we win the premiership without it. Max has had his demons with goal kicking, and not least against the cats a few years back. To slot that goal, when no Melbourne player had done it before, it epitomises Max as a MFC great.

Thanks to both of them, and I hope the boys find a nother level for them to celebrate them in style. They deserve it.

Started together, played in a flag together and playing there 250th together.

Congratulations Gawny and Tmac on your amazing contribution to the MFC.

Never gave up, kept on fighting the good fight.

🏆🥇🇱🇮🙏

Both are absolutle legends of the club. Hope we win well for them both

  • Demonland changed the title to TMax 500 Games!!!

We have a bunch of new signs and handheld banners made specifically for this match. The one that says TMAX500 is my fave because it acknowledges both of them and I hope to get my paws on that one. But no one will know who’s who in the first few rows of our bay since the club has decided that a couple of hundred Maxy lookalikes will be quite the spectacle… and it will!

Hashtag the things one does for one’s club

PS: goodbye dignity 😁

Super reliable, always giving their all.

Have both given amazing service.

Some great posts on here that have it covered already.

Congrats and hope we get to see another 50 from the big man.

Team needs to lift for these two on Sunday.

Max’s 250th game is significant for another reason as well…

Our awesome DA boss-lady/gun seamstress/massive Tmac fan has “whipped up” several handmade handheld banners for tomorrow with not much notice from the club. She’s a machine. And she said I can hold this one up!

We sooooo need to win this match!

Edit: the 500 is sequinned. SEQUINNED!

So wish I could be there in person but life as a farmer turns out to take more than I expected. All the best to TMax and carn Dees, I'll be there in spirit.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
