Sorry I was referring to Lever.

Well he is certainly injury prone now, so I agree.

Bit of a click-baity title, Edmund just states what most already know that the Dogs have no interest in May at this time. Still is a lot to play out, but he likely stays. We will only know for certain on October 10.

I asked a few posters on the GWS forum what their thoughts were on Derksen and they all agreed that he was miles behind the likes of Taylor, Buckley and Alir. And this was before he got injured.

Sounds like a Casey addition if he comes over.

This 100%. I dont understand the infatuation with a guy that barely gets a go in the 1's. Especially after the collective experience on here regarding our track record. i mean it defies logic what people expect.

If they are not playing regular games in the 1's then its a pass.

Steven May got in a fight with Melksham over saying "If you had have played in the granny (grand final) we would have lost.”

Could start a much bigger fights at the dogs by saying "If you had have played the last 40% of the granny (grand final) we would have lost.”

I wouldn't say no to paying 25% of his salary if that got them interested

Poor communication from Gawn, he should have stood up and addressed the team from the front of the group, demanded their attention.

May like Kozi play their best footy hot and nasty.

Both have mellowed after suspensions.

Was an unorthodox and ineffective spot really to talk from 🤷‍♂️

I'd rather we prioritise Jed Adams, who looks to me, to have decent 1v1 capabilities, a nice kick and a good ability to read the play.

Jed has just completed his third season and averages less than 10 disposals a game. But big fellas take longer and he is contracted for next year.

Not hopeful though.

Likely Full back players hold down a spot even if its a back pocket in their first or second years. What Jed has going for him is that by the sounds of it he wasn't personally doing enough off field and at training to give himself the best shot. So maybe he finds a bit maturity in his approach, which will translate to his onfield performance.

Starts with a massive pre-season.

I agree with what you are saying but Jed has just completed his 3rd season and played 1 game simply because he is tall. Banking on Jed to be a backline solution for the Dees is extremely high risk.

Pretty sure it was Joel Smith that May was referring to and Melksham stood up for him

I wasn't there but I've always been led to believe it was the quip directed at Melksham that started the fracca.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
