My ebullience meter is jammed on โ€˜Highโ€™ for this one. Iโ€™ve only seen Casey live three or four times this season and theyโ€™ve all been losses. Vs Box Hill two weeks ago was the first win. Theyโ€™re so impressive, and 100% invested. Deaks is an awesome captain.

GO THE MIGHTY CASEY DEMONS!

For those of us outside of Melbourne who are lucky enough to have Aussie Truckers to watch on 7mate today ๐Ÿ™„, we can live stream the game via the AFL app (and maybe air drop/screen mirror to our TVs)

Tbf, there are worse shows than Aussie Truckers. They number in the 10s, but they do exist ๐Ÿ˜

Tasmania want to play in the VFL next year.

At first glance why not but I'd like to see a phantom fixture

As long as they can sometime get an even number to get rid of the absurd repeated byes which kill player development and return from injury.

Adding another interstate trip to a cash starved competition may not be the best idea. Wonder if they would be competitive?

Where would they base the team given the never ending North/South rivalry

Iโ€™m currently on the replacement bus from hell (tautological coz thereโ€™s no other kind of replacement bus). I know how to get to Casey ordinarily but yet another awesome thing about replacement buses is that the minute they depart there goes any semblance of familiar surroundings. I asked the bus driver to please tell me when weโ€™re at Springvale station. He said, no coz he needs to concentrate on driving. Butโ€ฆ another passenger overheard and heโ€™s getting off there so he said to get off when he does. Sounds good right? Yeah nah, not good at all. A couple of minutes later he was talking and laughing to himself or the voices in his head or whomever (no Bluetooth in sight). And now Iโ€™ve just noticed heโ€™s asleep. I could be anywhere right now.

If ever a team owed a fan a winโ€ฆ this is it.

Update: another passenger kindly told me weโ€™re approaching my stop. My snuggle -buddy was still asleep (perilously close to my shoulder ๐Ÿ˜ณ) so I did the righty and woke him since itโ€™s his stop too. Turns out that was the wrongy. He was filthy on being woken. Called me a Marty Hore minus the Marty and with W before Hore ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

I salute your dedication

Have a bacon and egg roll for me

How one of Melbourne's fastest growing suburbs (Clyde) doesn't have better connectivity is amazing. Hell nearby Berwick has been a population centre for thirty years

I donโ€™t know Clyde nor Berwick but chances are Iโ€™ll (unnecessarily) visit both at some stage today.

I think Iโ€™m just a bit too early โ€“ trusted channel 7 knew when it was starting. I shouldโ€™ve known better.

First bounce is at 2:10pm. You have a better chance of seeing it than I do ๐Ÿ˜… Iโ€™m still on the train to Cranbourne.

Yeah for me i was clicking on the 7mate live stream and it was counting down "starting in 10 min", "4 min", "2 min", "1 min", only to then have it happily keep going to "-1min", etc.

LETS GO CASEY!!!

A strong team

Get โ€˜er done

7mate is a blank screen but 7mateHD (ch74) is working?

It is windy and cold as hell in the area. I imagine scores will be impacted by the wind.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmyโ€™s inclusive bannerโ€”"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwoodโ€™s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.ย

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
