    Surely coaching a win against the filth would give a reconsideration to Troy Chaplin. Automatic legend status if we win this

    Now we have a coaching panel selected, and the incoming CEO saying they’ll select 6-8 possible coaches that will sorted through for our eventual coach; is there a list of coaches we can come up with?

    Buckley, Hinkley, Hird, Daly, Skipworth, Enright?

    Any of those in or out or others being considered?

    Buckley

    hinkley

    Skipworth

    Enright

    King

    Daly

    would be the 6 the panel will explore fully

     

    Now hang on - I have been assured on here that it is a ‘Buckley accompli?’

    So what are we ‘process’ing here?

    I have no real idea but when Melksham retires, I hope he stays as some sort of forward coach.

    I thought Hinkley has already ruled himself out?

    Regardless, there's absolutely no way we should be considering him.

    Let's say it is Buckley ... wouldn't it be best if he brings his own crew with him? At least in part?

    He went on a Tassie Devils podcast and they specifically asked him if he'd make a good coach for them.

    “Sturt (SANFL) Football Club has granted Melbourne (AFL) request to approach current Head Coach Martin Mattner about the recent vacancy for its Head Coaching Position.

    Sturt currently Top of the Ladder in the SANFL and reigning Premiers are undefeated in 28 straight games”

    That's long been the word on Daly. Apparently he turned down both MaCrae and Hardwick for fairly recent assistant roles. He'd be a huge get for us imo.

      The Demons 2026 AFL Fixture is as good as can be expected considering their performances and finishes the past two seasons. Sunday games and late afternoon starts are on the menu with only 1 Friday night fixture until Round 15. They will travel 8 times including their home game in the Alice, their Gather Round game as well as a match against the Hawks in Tasmania. They will face, the Bombers, Bulldogs, the Suns, the Tigers, the Hawks and the Dockers twice.
