Please don't say there is no one else by why do we play the last 4 they are not senior talents. Fritz was but a shadow now.

Jefferson will never be ready. Struggles most weeks at Casey. Why do we keep playing Lever over Tmac?

Correct. He's not good enough. Never was and never weil be.

Two seperate issues.

Jeffo needs to be played to give him a chance. I don't hold high hopes but he could come on with a bit of confidence.

Lever is cooked. He needs to be played to try and get trade value for him. I great part of our premiership side but he has been found out and doesn't have enough strings up his bow. Tmac isn't the answer.

We are talking short term if we want to wins any games for the rest of 2025 we need Tmac.

No point talking short term. We have nothing left on 2025 besides making sure Essendon don't get a better draft pick

I have to admit, May's positioning is still first class. If only he still had his 2021 level fitness.

If he mellows out after retirement I reckon he'd make an outstanding defensive coach.

Lever is 'cooked'? [censored]. (Can we put a moratorium on that stupid expression?) Played pretty well today. Had injury interruptions, and he' old. He'd be snapped up immediately by another team.

Couldn't agree more. I've been thinking about him as a coach for a while. I love it he's so passionate.

Get ur facts right old dee, dominated at Casey , yet finding transition tough at elite level. Needs another pre season then and only then at this same stage in 2026 will judgements be made!

Was about to say he is not 100%. Ankle surgery in April and 8 weeks off then rushed back in after 1 VFL game.

Melksham - five years younger

Kozzie - no one like

Lever - why play injured?

McVee - night and day

Sparrow - no real role

Kolten - was he playing?

Goodwin - sound bite pressors.

He is too slow to chase and he can't play one on one with an opponent.

He was a weapon whe he used to play loose and take intercept marks but nobody lets him do that anymore.

He's not a great kick like May, Bowey or Mcphee. How often do you seem him kick out from full back? Never. How often does it get kicked out to him? Never. There is a reason for that

He is currently very banged up. I'm hoping the speed is not permanent. Would never trade Lever in a million years.

Heart and soul and leadership. Potential for coaching.

Your track record regarding the readiness of Jeffo has not been great.

Thanks all the same Picket but I think I’ll pass on this latest forecast.

Correct, I thought at the time it looked too early. Tmac was playing well at the time.

I think dominated is a bit high pf. He had a few good games. In his 3rd year he shows nothing at senior level.

Yes have to admit he looks way of!

There was DEFINITELY no evidence of him EVER ‘dominating’ at Casey

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
