I can see why Geelong never lose a game there. The umpiring was diabolical ridiculously pro Geelong. There should be a public inqury from the umpiring tonight. DISGRACFUL

The club never ever ever decries the [censored] umpiring. Ever.

they should

The presidents should be agitating for change

[censored] afl umpiring should see demotion to vfl until your decision making improves

AFL far too soft on this

That umpire number 22 - every time I see him umpiring our games my heart sinks

Free to Trac in the goal square at the end of the quarter. 1 on 1 pulled away from the ball. Nup not for Melbourne.

Block on JVR in the ruck. Their ruck was looking straight at JVR and blocked his jump and didn’t contest the ball. Nup not for Melbourne.

Fritch kicking into our forward line from just outside 50, their player ran straight into the protected area, almost blocked his kick. 50 every day of the week. Nup not for Melbourne.

They were their usual horrible standard and usual bias for the home team. Drives you off the game.

Wasn’t the reason we lost though, we did that all by ourselves. But it is frustrating the free kicks we get rarely are at critical parts of the ground.

Or at critical times. There were a number of square ups in the last quarter which took the count from 22-12 to 22 -17.

Geelong play at home knowing the umpire sensitivities. Their players will just stop playing, and just expect the free. Some call it the “Nick Daicos Effect”, but I think Dangerfield started the trend. The game of Aussie Rules has changed, and certain teams, manipulate umpiring trends. Geelong, Hawthorn, Bulldogs, Collingwood, are just a few that do it really well. Could be worse 5-6 goals to them In some games, and it’s hard to go against the momentum of that.

I was an adamant complainer about umpires for years because they actually declare to be impartial on their sign up document. Razor Ray can hold his head up high.

You can see why the AFL decided to kill the Free kick tally stuff up by just never mentioning it, never allowing the media to dwell on it and never revealing how hopelessly compromised that whole area is at the moment ever since there was investigation into the ongoing gambling shambles.

Blame the AFL

They would rather keep the money to pay the suits at HQ than invest in proper umpire training and salaries

All in our back 50 of course, so no chance of easy goals.

At times there was a touch of Free Kick Geelong but we didnt lose because of that
