Not helpful and I would expect better from you.

I didn’t realise what any of it was about and that it was a sanctioned Andy thing to talk about whether you read them or not since everyone had those quotes at end of their post so I’m an innocent bystander on this one! Wouldn’t want another warning from George so pls know I had and still have no idea what the hullabaloo is encompassing when I responded to GW “poll” but I’m also pretty sure she meant it in good faith!

Ok now get it — I have visited greenwaves profile and recall his tag now which has been there sometime!

All is now apparent

Can we please start a poll?

Question: Do you read replies and reactions?

Answers:

A. Sometimes

B. Always

C. I’m greenwaves

All of the above.

We all know @greenwaves reads them  she is special.

Anyone else just ignores some posters without the footnote 😄

Maybe lower your expectations then. 😅

Sorry Andy, but adding an arrogant tagline (aka a signature) like that to every post (on a forum where people, you know, talk with one another) is just inviting needling. It’s at best unnecessary and at worst abrasive.

Nonetheless, I apologise 🫤

Ok, sure, we’ll go with that.

That's probably a good assumption but I think the notion that Yze and McQualter as tactical coaches having left might also be a plausible explanation.

It's possible that Jonesy as a former captain and mentor to a majority of the players could be that guy on the bench. It will be interesting to see who is placed where on match day.

I presume it will be Choco who will remain there seeing as he is our development coach.

He would've had full trust with the guys he worked with for a number of years to be his eyes in the box and also confidence in that flow of information. Now with new guys he needs to see it for himself and establish what everyone is seeing and how the assistants function.

Could be he does 6-12 weeks in the box then goes back to the bench once everything is flowing.

I do wonder who will lead the way on the bench. Maybe Sam Radford or Choco.

chaplin i suspect

Don’t want to derail the thread here, but very often now when @Demonland posts a story from a linked source I just get a blank white long post. I then read the replies to deduce what’s been posted. I’d say it happens to 80% of all linked posts - regardless of poster or source. Been this way for a few months.

Is this occurring for anyone else?

(for context I’m on Safari on an IPhone 15)

Yep. Some other posters, too.

Android phone.

Goodwin will be appearing every fortnight (Every second Wednesday) on AFL360 this season.

Goodwin has agreed to join the show every two weeks, a marked departure from recent years when he chose to do few media appearances other than his mandated ones.

"This is important to him," Lyon said. "He had been through a rollercoaster, professional and probably personal.

"I think this is about the coach (as a person), as opposed to the Melbourne Football Club coach. Just to talk about coaching and the pressure and where it can take you in the highest of moments and where it can take you in the darkest of moments.

It happens to me but only on Demonland's (ie, Andy's) posts and then only when he links to some other social media. I'm using Edge on Windows 11.

Is this you, or Harry, or - to be pertinent to this thread - Goody running into the side of the coaches box?

😄

I thought it was just me.  Empty posts with a blank space.  I'm using Samsung Internet on S22.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
