Tholstrup will be out until mid season I think... unless he is tracking ahead of schedule.

My best guess is the full list as follows:

Marty Hore (broken hand) β€” 3-4 weeks
Luke Kentfield (pneumonia) β€” TBC
Shane McAdam (achilles) β€” 2026
Judd McVee (hamstring) β€” Round 2 or 3
Jake Melksham (hamstring) β€” pre-season/early 2025
Andy Moniz-Wakefield (ACL) β€” 2026
Kysaiah Pickett (suspension) β€” round four
Koltyn Tholstrup - 8-10 weeks

Is that a guess?

Whats the point of posting if you don’t know

Well the original post was a guess so was just updating it based on information that has come through from other posters or radio interviews. Don’t read it if you don’t want?

For example, Alan Richardson said on a radio interview they expect McVee back round 2 or 3 and Ghostwriter mentioned Hore said he expects to miss 3-4 weeks from memory.

DJ's list is sound based on information from training last week. From the weekend, obviously we are still waiting to hear re JVR, and Petty did not play on Sunday for "personal reasons". Given the players have three days off, I suspect we will hear more only on Thursday when they train at Casey. Also looking forward to hearing how Charles Spargo pulled up after his half at Casey. Melksham must be getting close to having a run also....

McVee 4 - 6
Tholstrup 6 - 8

As per AFL website updated today

6-8 for Tholstrup is good. When it came out they said 10-12 weeksΒ

Yeh 4 weeks ago, go figure …

Tough for them to name an accurate ETA for the type of injury he's got, the fact is come down 4 weeks is positive and almost surprising, I expected to see him hit with the dreaded TBC

Didn’t realise it had already been 4 weeks… time flies.

No JVR listed which is positive...but I'm not sure how accurate it is if Spargo is still on there given he supposedly played VFL

Melksham TBC is concerningΒ

With Andy MW and Shane McA now LTI's and having been replaced on our list (by Henderson and Culley) may I politely suggest they don't get listed here any longer? Tragic for both of them of course, but it (a) saddens me when I read their names and (b) exaggerates our injury situation given that we were able to replace them on our list, which is now complete at 43.

Any sneaky reason why Bellchambers is on Casey's list?

??

Melksham, Hore & McAdam - that's three list spots wasted on players who are constantly injured. Spargo entering that territory as well. We're just lucky the AFL allowed us to replace McAdam.

You mean lucky to replace AMW.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
