Forum members: Windhager is a jet, but only worth a late second rounder.

Also forum members: McVee is a solid contributor, he’s not even that good. But pick 11 will become 15. We need more than that.

Giving the opportunity i imagine him being another Jordan Clarke, that will hurt us next year

No one is giving us 11 for an uncontracted McVee, be serious people. Early second is the best we can get.

King has to go pitch him on moving up the ground in a Geelong style game plan that sees the ball shared quickly and skilfully that suits Judd. Give me 2 years and I’ll have you as the next Max Holmes is the message I’d sell if I was King.

I have an eerie feeling Windsor is going to pan out as something similar to Jayden Hunt. Fast but an absolute butcher by foot. I hope like hell im wrong, but there are some worrying signs. I didnt think Holmes was a super good ball user when he was initially drafted so i guess there is hope for the Duke just yet.

Caleb has a nice hit up kick in him when he has time to process, his terrible kicks come when he runs in to trouble.

Bailey Smith is showing right now how valuable a super quick mid is even if they can’t hit the side of the barn.

If - and it’s a decent if - Caleb can become a genuine ball winning mid he should kick it at least as well as Smith.

But also that’s why Judd is so important to keep because he has excellent decision making and disposal. King has to find a way to convince him he’ll develop in to a star at Melbourne

So either a journeyman or an important player who won a team b+f?

Oh I hope in this binary world - we get the latter. Or put more succinctly:

That joke works on one level

Agree, Freo will offer pick 29, which may end up pick 35 and a swap of 3rd round picks. Not sure how he's conned ghosty that he is re-signing, its dragged on far too long.

If you’re gonna be an ignorant smartarze at least tag me so as I get to read it. I almost missed this. Judd is not one to con someone. Do you know him at all? Thought not.

Interesting we’ve only offered 2 years.. although a very good player club may see him as tradeable if we can get what we want I think..

Is this true? Have we revised the offer?

I don’t really get how this contract is having so many people up in arms. I love Judd but his performance this year was significantly lowered to past times, unknown why.

Hes a B grade player, with probably A grade ball use.

If we lose him, it’s a shame, however if we get another player or similar caliber then we will be fine.

We also have AMW coming back into the team after his injury and they’re very similar.

So please , where are these contracts details available Are they on line somewhere or is it hear say. A friend of my mate dirt if thing. Or is it from the mouth of thr horse running at Caulfield or will train at Caulfield I hope!

I think that underates him considering as a team we lack good ball users. Remember his preseason was largely ruined with a serious hamstring injury and he was playing as a lock down defender which isn't his best position, that's where I hope AMW fits into the team. As a running HB and distributor I think we have a really good player and I'm hoping he stays.

I’d value AMW as a far more attacking player than Judd.

Judd is becoming very Salem like with his ball use, it’s safe but not damaging

I think the real issue is when you trade up and give away a lot to get a certain player, you need to actually get that player and then he has to be worthy of what you gave up.

As recent examples, Lindsay looks the goods, while Kolt is looking a little shaky.

To be a successful club we need to nail most decisions and recruiting is an extremely important area for every club.

I do accept that not every selected player will have a long AFL career but the overall aim has to be improving the list every year.

Soz @juddmcveegoat, love you ‘n’ all but Luci’s got you on this one. She’s been Judd’s #1 fan since the beginning. You’ll have to settle on being his #2 fan.

Mind you, she did dump Jayden for Salo, then dumped Salo for Judd, so stick around, she may just ditch Judd for someone else 😅

If she thinks she’s gonna be Luker’s #1 fan, the gloves are off. Word.

Well its to different roles, one is a running back with alot more freedom and the other is a lock where you can't just run off and leave, say Cameron or Bobby Hill alone

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
