Whoo hoo, bring on 2025, Membership packages early this year

Did your premium membership package come in the box?  I haven't received my pack yet, but I really loved the box it came in last couple of years.

I received the identical package today as did my wife (who I expect will continue to be a rare attendee).

And it came in a red and blue box.

I should be getting a 40 year milestone pin with my membership this year, which will be nifty.

That is a super effort, we will be scratching to make our 30th in two years time. Lol.!!

from what I can see, all resrved seating attracts the mandatory grand final ticket tax. there doesnt seem to be a way to get just the seat. My reserved seats for myself, and two children (18 and 15) cost $1500.00, not cheap.

It’s not a tax it’s a bonus IMO but that’s  looking at it as a half glass empty.

I've just gritted my teeth and renewed Redlegs.  It's the classic triumph of optimism over experience.  It's a new season and all victories are theoretically possible!

I asked to move bays to be closer to some friends and away from two of the most negative fans I've ever met who sat behind me.  They spoiled what little enjoyment was to be had from last season with relentless sour comments and whinging.  Most games I had to move seats by half time.   Whoever you two fellas are you need to lighten up.

I had gone up to Redlegs after 2023 as the supposed Melbourne zone I was in near the 50arc was full of horrible and aggressive oppo fans occupying our seats.  In the middle of that season I had enough when three Carlton fans on general admission kept kicking my seat, spilling beer and taking photos as they were trying to goad me into fighting them.  It was free for all riff raff to stroll in and sit wherever they wanted and pointless paying extra for what was effectively general admission.

You need to bring this up with the club, you should be able to sit in the redlegs area surrounded by like supporters. Visitors are supposed to sit in level 2A, not level 2, occasionally I will bring one visitor, but I always ask them to dress neutrally and be aware of where they are. I would be interested to know what bay you have been allocated.

Thank you :) My membership has been consecutive since the age of 14 in 1985.  I remember during the early 2000s the membership card stated the first year we were members, mine said 1979, when I would have been 8.  I asked Dad about that, he said he'd bought a family membership and put my name and my brother's name on it, but since Mum was a Hawks supporter, there was no other adult for the membership, so he didn't do it again until 1985 when my brother became an adult (he turned 18). It was more cost effective that way.  Nonetheless, once I turned 18 in 1989, we just bought individual memberships, and we joined Redlegs the year before in 1988.  I've been a Redlegs member since.  Dad was a 50 year member when he passed away in 2019.

Thanks Demon spurs.  The problems I had weren't in Redlegs because the MCC staff seem to check everyone's membership card on entry.

It was down in M53 which was sold as a Melbourne members area but was never controlled and was just a de facto general admission area.  If there's nobody checking tickets at the entrance then opposition fans could justifiably feel entitled to sit there.

My scarf + stickers arrived today. No card though. (I took the card option cos I'm old.)

Give membership a call they are very helpful and short wait time, we are the same like our card to get in and access the Lindsey Hasset Room , etc. 😁

argh, how's this or annoying.  I was wondering why my pack wasn't coming yet, and then yesterday I got an email saying my November 1st payment didn't go through.  As it turned out I forgot to inform the club of my new card details!  All fixed now but it means my pack will be coming in a few weeks' time 😩

Mine came last week, as well as my Little Demons for my young one who is nearly 2. His came with a little footy and a cup / button game which had some pieces that looked like a choking hazard. Read the packaging and it said ages 3+. I hid it before he could see and he was pretty happy with the footy.

Got a call from the club on Monday about this issue, apparently following a few complaints, and a replacement will be sent. Could have been some tough calls that day, but the person who called me was very professional and polite. Also got an email from the club yesterday on the issue too.

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
