Iโ€™m sure it will be your normal political jargon straight from the CEOโ€™s handbook of generic answers which wonโ€™t allude to much and still leave a lot of questions for supporters.

Please prove me wrong Gary.

Good Morning Gerard.

Will Gerard ask the hard questions? Thing is doesn't matter how honest his answers are some on here will say his answers were poor.

Iโ€™m doing my best to wait for him to come onโ€ฆ. Too difficult. Iโ€™ll just try catch up later. Canโ€™t stand listening to non stop ramblingย

pert always presents well in the media

he knows how to massage the narrative - be at at the mfc, the cfc, or sca

but there's a difference between massaging the narrative and managing the circumstances that have led to it

You won't be proved wrong and you know it.

Hasnโ€™t come across great, and itโ€™s hard to given the very strong cultural statements made at the start of the season which are being played back to himย

โ€œConversations between [Pert] & Petracca is not about him breaking his contract or being tradedโ€

Putting a fair amount on the shoulders of the leadership group, who will be โ€œdriving the rebuild of the program, led by Gawn & Vineyโ€

Just more spin. End of the day. I wouldnโ€™t expect anything more or less - straight bat. We asked leadership from the club, this is about as good as it gets.ย

I wouldnโ€™t go that far. What do you expect the CEO to say?

Exactly. Damned if you do and damned if you donโ€™t.ย
Everyone screaming for our CEO or president to speak and when they do they complain.ย

I think a few on here want himย  to say everything is [censored] and everyone will be sacked.

Pert here is on a hiding to nothing. He knows that every person is trawling for headlines so he has to walk a narrow path

I think Pert's in a no win situation here, at least with a lot of people on this site.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
