He had Cameron Schwab last week! I also couldn't watch that due to concerns my blood pressure would rise...

This year I have stopped listening to SEN and stopped watching 360 and On The Couch due to the continued 'pile on' directed at MFC. Prior to this, I listened to SEN religiously each morning and on my way to and from work. I was also a nightly viewer of Foxtel footy offerings. I think, over time, these productions will lose rusted on supporters as they tire of the current 'club in crisis' approach to gaining an audience. As ratings fall, so will the shows. We can only hope!

Yep I’ve stopped watching/listening to both as well. Not only because of the Melbourne pile on, but I just think the quality of reporting is terrible and everything is so sensationalised. It’s a game of football, not life and death! But the media seem to report on it like it is.

Every article/video/podcast that Morris hosts provides him income. Best to ignore.

You should. Interesting and informative. And Morris is by no means all negative about Melbourne. Quite optimistic in fact. More so than many on the site. With Petraaca, though, the problem is real.

I’m sure petracca is unhappy with certain things, I’m not disputing that. But to come with the line, ‘Petracca would ask for a trade tomorrow if he was out of contract’ is irresponsible journalism because it is not dealing in facts.

Here's some truth for you! Smugness is a quality best left to those who have delusions of superiority.

It's childish to attack Morris over a story that is clearly true.

Right now, Petracca would walk out of the club if he could.

Blaming Morris for shedding light on the story lacks intellect.

You should be grateful you've been informed.  Now it's in the open hopefully the right changes will be made.

Nah I'm ok with the truth, I just won't listen to it from a sexist piece of green apple splatters.

I don’t think people would be so anti Morris if he didn’t have a long list of priors.

... and you're basing that view on what Morris has said, right? So, Petracca feels strongly that...

a) the Club let him down when he suffered his serious injury,

b) an individual, or individuals at the club are to blame for our fall from grace,

c) another Club has more to offer than MFC

I don't believe you!

Funny how he was actually correct with his information and everyone on here accused him of false claims huh..?

How do you know what the facts is? You're saying it's not dealing with the facts when you yourself don't know deep down.

Morris was right all along when he broke Petracca story. This is backed up by Pert or Goodwin not even refuting the claims that he was unhappy.

Everyone knows he's unhappy and I have absolutely no doubt if he was out of contract then he would request a trade exactly how Morris confirmed.

Well said mate and please post more.. it's  head in sand stuff with some folks on here.

Its up to the footy club now to implement the changes that is required.

Destiny is in their hands now.

I couldn't care what you believe.

Agreed. That interview could/should do some good. Note also that Morris said Melb should be a top 8 side next year. A refreshing contrast to the apocalyptic scenarios being spouted by the hyenas in the media.

You have no idea if he would request a trade, just like I don’t… so it’s a bit hypocritical to say that. I’ve heard one of the key reasons for ‘his’ concern from people in the know so I understand what the issue is.

Btw I’m not defending the club as I’m sure there are elements they can improve. Just pointing out that Morris could have reported that Petracca was unhappy, but instead goes into discussions about hypotheticals as do most media people these days. Reporting used to be based on fact, now it’s fact mixed in with opinion and innuendo.

Petracca has not disputed the quotes made at all.
I think you can assume from that, that Morris was not lying.
What the MFC must do is actively work to fix the problems they can

Again I’m not saying he’s lying, I’m saying putting out hypotheticals isn’t really journalism. Petracca doesn’t have to say anything, the majority of players don’t say anything unless they are interviewed and even then it’s just media speak. The club has put out a statement and no doubt would’ve talked with petracca before they put this out.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
