Prasad is for next year though and heโ€™s very small.

Nick Watson is 170cm and hasnโ€™t stopped him.

Prasad sounds like he could be a beauty. Will be interesting to watch him develop

The inability to get direct access to Tairon Ah-Mu is annoying but the rules are the rules and, unless changed in the near future (unlikely), weโ€™re going to have to live with it. Moreover, it might have boiled down to a choice at draft time between Ah-Mu and White so itโ€™s not such a significant problem if we think the latterโ€™s our best choice anyway.ย

There's an article in the Herald Sun about Samoan born Richmond (and former Casey Demons) player Mykelti Lefau going back to Samoa to visit his roots and promote the game.

If Melbourne were smart, it would immediately start pushing for players of Samoan heritage to be included in NGA qualification rules in the same way as players from other countries that do meet the current qualifications. There's no logical reason this shouldn't happen and it's just a pity that for some reason Melbourne apparently is never proactive in such things.

Does anyone know Tim Lamb?

marcus prasad and toby sinnema both sound genuinely exciting; really encouraging that the latter played more games as a bottom-ager last season than any other player

disappointing that we don't have ah-mu eligible as well, but add kalani white and that's three likely prospects for dees in 2025 in a year in which we don't have a first round selection

I didn't spot a father / son prospect in these profles @Whispering_Jackย - presume you were referring to white?

Pretty impressive by Sinnema last year given he's a December birthday he was really bottom age and played all year as a 16yo.

makes trading out of it to bring in lindsay all the more reasonable

especially if kalani white and toby sinnema become part of the crop of 'compromised' first rounders that we have (albeit diluted) discounted access to select

Good video to introducd the top prospects heading into the season.

We have a 2nd rounder which will blow out and Toby Sinnema and very likely Kalani White.

With Academy and Father sons compromising the draft we picks for those 2 will fall back.

We do not know how they will shape up this year - hopefully good.

We will have to trade picks in or maybe a player or 2 will want to be traded out?

We should all write to the club.

Write away. It won't go where it needs to get to regardless and will end up being screened by someone at the front end of the club and will probably end in the delete bin.

The only chance might be via registered snail mail requiring a signature from the recipient if that's still a thing.

For clarity for the 2025 draft we have our 2nd rounder and we swapped our 3rd rounder with the Lions for Sharp.

Our second rounder with the discount should nail Toby Sinnema.

Not sure whether the Lions 3rd rounder will be enough for kalani. Wait and see.

I note Toby Sinnema played well on the week end as did Prasad.

Both Sinnena and Prasad play for Dandenong Stingrays.

Sinnena 22 possessions.

Prasad 16 possessions and a goal ( 1st year U18s)

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demonsโ€™ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.
