Elbows a bloke in the throat.

Just a fine.

Something stinks in the Afl nowadays.

Blokes untouchable.

I wonder who really pays the fine.

Is anyone here surprised?

Nup but the three weeks dished out for a dangerous tackle the other day seems pretty harsh now.

Wasted energy to care whats happening with him in any regard.
Take away the names and faces and you’d surely just say it’s unlucky and the tackler deserves a free.

And Heeney copped a week for attempting to foil a player's hold on his jumper. Compare the respective actions. The inconsistency between incident and penalty is an indictment on the AFL.

I know the AFL is incompetent but let it go D.

Thanks J.

Your right but I just think unless he learns he's going to destroy another players career again.

But yea it's not worth the angst.

Cheers.

The lions would find him as indigestable as I find the AFL.

Football act....I know this as Ginnivan is still alive. Had he died then it definitely would be a week.

He's a good bloke, justice is served, blah blah blah .

The tribunal and inconsistent umpiring/score review process are leading causes of my growing apathy towards AFL. I barely watch games anymore.

It's not that I hate the AFL or the game, because hate implies caring. I just do not give a rats about footy the way I used to, because there's no sense in committing so much energy to something that makes no sense and which you cannot control.

That's a shame chook.

Obviously it used to give you enjoyment.

Try and look past all the cr.p and enjoy the positive aspects.

Cheers

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
